Happy New Week and welcome back to weekly series on Sustainable measures for energy efficiency. Energy demand is on high rise due to the functionality of smart buildings and built environment and sources of these resources are running out such as fossil fuels and concerned humans have began to explore sustainable source, which is renewable energy. Renewable energy is energy that is generated from natural sources that are renewable and naturally replenished. sources are sunlight, wind, geothermal heat, tides, water, and various forms of biomass. Renewable energy can reduce the negative effects towards climate change by offsetting carbon created by carbon footprint and contribute to cleaner environment and air. #RenewableEnergy #Climateresilience #EnergyandAtmosphere #CarbonOffsets

While EVs are leading the charge towards sustainability, they're not a silver bullet. True change requires green electricity to power them—without which, we’re just shifting emissions from cars to power plants. But there's a solution: combining EVs with renewable energy sources like solar and wind 🌞🌬️. Additionally, we should explore alternatives like hydrogen fuel cells and biofuels to complement EV adoption. The future isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s about creating a balanced mix of sustainable transportation solutions 🌱. #Sustainability #AutomotiveInnovation #EV #RenewableEnergy #HydrogenFuel #FutureOfTransport

On day 5 of our countdown, we are focusing on renewable energy. In April 2024 (Q1) more than half (50.9%) of the UK’s electricity came from renewable energy sources, with the majority generated by wind turbines, followed by bioenergy (Source: Uswitch). While this is progress, we still have a long way to go to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to meet government targets. There are many exciting innovations set to revolutionise green energy production, including the utilisation of hydrogen, and at Mosaic we are lucky to have detailed insight and education into green technologies through work with our media training clients. There are also changes we can make as individuals to be kinder to the environment, these include: ✅ Changing to a 100% renewable energy provider 💷 Investing into green pension funds to avoid supporting fossil fuels ☀️ Installing solar panels 💚 Switching to greener energy alternatives e.g. air source heat pumps Have you made any of these changes? #consciencemarketing #sustainability #COP29

The Illusion of Progress: Europe's Rocky Road to Renewable Energy As the Green Trends Monitor delves into Europe's ambitious journey towards a renewable, sustainable, and low-carbon future, we must confront the uncomfortable truth: the path is fraught with more challenges than triumphs. Despite the fanfare, Europe's transition to renewable energy is not the seamless narrative often portrayed. The Rush for Renewables: A Panacea or a Pipe Dream? The EU's REPowerEU plan aims to end reliance on Russian fossil fuels and rapidly reduce dependence by as soon as 2027. But is this a realistic timeline, or just wishful thinking? With the International Energy Agency casting doubt on meeting targets⁵, one must wonder if Europe's renewable energy rush is a solution or just another problem in disguise. The Green Trends Monitor invites readers to look beyond the surface of Europe's renewable energy narrative and question the feasibility of its green dreams. Are we witnessing a genuine shift towards sustainability, or is Europe's energy transition merely a green mirage?

Today is Zero Emission Day. Zero Emissions Day has been designed to give the world a break from fossil fuels and to raise awareness about the harm caused by carbon emissions. Thanks to the initiatives we have been taking towards zero emission, we achieved 100% renewable energy usage in our Spinning Facility. This means: ▪️95% of our purchased electricity is generated from renewable energy sources. ▪️40% of our total electricity consumption is renewable. This saves around 15.000 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually which is equivalent to carbon emissions captured by 45.000 trees. #Orta #OrtaAnadolu #OrtaBlu #ZeroEmissionDay #ZeroEmission #Sustainability #Energy #Renewable #Emission #CarbonEmission #SDG13

🌍 Global Fossil Fuel Consumption Hits Record High Despite Renewable Energy Growth A recent report from the Energy Institute highlights that global fossil fuel consumption reached an all-time high last year, pushing CO2 emissions beyond 40 gigatonnes for the first time. Despite significant growth in renewable energy, fossil fuels still made up 81.5% of the world's primary energy in 2023. Developing countries saw increased reliance on coal, gas, and oil, while advanced economies showed signs of fossil fuel demand peaking. This underscores the urgent need for accelerated energy transition efforts worldwide. #EnergyTransition #ClimateChange #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #CleanEnergy #FossilFuels
