#moveyoursport I'm excited to share more details an initiative that truly embodies our mission to elevate and nurture the sports we love. As Dyn Media GmbH our commitment to sports like handball, basketball, volleyball, hockey, and table tennis isn't just about broadcasting games—it's about driving the future of these sports by investing in their growth at the grassroots level. Our Move Your Sport initiative is at the core of this mission. This season, we're expanding this initiative, empowering our subscribers to directly support youth sports development by choosing to allocate 10% of their subscription fees to one of our five featured sports. These funds, which will total a seven-figure amount in 2024, are being funneled directly to our partner leagues to implement projects that make a tangible difference. Each league is using these resources to strengthen the foundations of their sport, ensuring that the next generation of athletes not only has the chance to play but to thrive. We believe that the positive values of sport—team spirit, solidarity, and fairness—are best transmitted to society when we engage young people. For a closer look at how Move Your Sport is making a difference, check out https://lnkd.in/ec9wWfRa where we showcase some of these incredible projects. Let’s continue to move our sports forward, together! #MoveYourSport #YouthDevelopment #SportsForTheFuture #DynMedia Marcel Wontorra Anett Sattler

Do you have 4 minutes? This substack article by Adam Grant will shift your thinking, on competition, on teamwork and on solidarity. Surely, you have 4 minutes for that! "The ethos of friendly competition at the Olympics goes further: you root for your team without rooting against your opponents. If it can happen in the zero-sum world of sports—where winning requires someone else to lose—it can happen anywhere." #AdamGrant #CompetitionMindset #TeamworkMatters #SolidarityInAction #PositiveCompetition https://ow.ly/U5we50T3z6l

Interesting attending the Netball Super League event this morning. In their words the NSL is "A sport built by women for women". It must be one of the few women's sports that doesn't have a W in the brand name yet the audience is 72% female (and 90% female in-venue). Claire Nelson (MD of NSL) was excited by the launch of the new NSL and called it "the future of sport". Was interesting to hear her claim that Netball is the 3rd biggest team sport overall in the UK (behind football and cricket) with 3m players annually. SkySports also had an interesting take. Helen Falkus, director of multisports at Sky, said the Sky interest was because "Netball delivers a different audience for us". This seems to make sense - she noted that a recent series had 300k views and was 75% female and 50% under 35. I can't imagine many other sporting properties deliver that demographic. My dissertation was on the uniqueness of women's sport (with a focus on football) and the NSL seems to continue that trend of other women's sports with a more inclusive audience that is younger, and more engaged. The growth story is there and will be interested to see if/how they engage and monetise this unique and growing audience. #NSL #netball #sportsbusiness #sportsbiz #sport #womensport

We have a very clear purpose at Sport Sister – to help organisations grow female participation in sport. I articulate this purpose multiple times a day to various different people, and am often asked “How do you do that?”. So I thought I would use this week’s blog post to break down what we actually do, and hopefully, that will help you decide if we can help you. https://lnkd.in/eMjsfnnd #SportSister #BlogPost #Sport #WomensSport #GirlsSport #FemaleParticipation #Business #SportsConsultant #Blog
