April 23rd is World Table Tennis Day and an opportunity to celebrate and support the inclusive nature of this sport for all ages, all abilities, anytime, anywhere. What is more, it’s a great chance for you to introduce some innovative action into your working environment!🏓 Sitting still at a desk all day is sooooo last century! Your team, employees or students have got to get their work done – but what if they became happier, healthier, more creative, more interactive and more productive because they move more?🏃 Research has found that Physically Active Learning (PAL) can: • Improve classroom behaviour and activity engagement. • Significantly reduce sedentary periods of time. • Offer aggregated improvement in academic performance over time. The dynamic nature of movement allows cognitive development… When we move, we activate our neurons which clears our minds, helps us think better, and makes our thoughts more fluid. But how do you introduce this effectively and with minimal disruption? A Table Tennis table, or even a Table Tennis table topper (try saying that after a couple of games!) is the ultimate solution. It doesn’t need much space, especially if you are just using an existing table, and anyone can have a go at Table Tennis. A full match or just a rally or two; individual v. the wall; one-on-one whilst waiting for a market price; pairs at lunchbreak; pre-work rotating Ping Pong - the options are endless and the benefits are huge. It fun, it’s healthy and it gets minds loosened up and ready to roll!🙌🚀 https://lnkd.in/eVGJGQbh #TableTennis #WorldTableTennisDay #Sportsafe #SupportingTheNextGeneration
