Day 2 of 75 Hard Day 1 is in the books, and the real work begins now. Yesterday was going smoothly—I made sure to be intentional with my time and completed all my tasks. All the way up until it was time for my workout outside and it was raining. This was a nice reminder to be humble and to not start running my mouth too soon. Here's what this challenge is about: 1. **Follow a diet**: Currently following a high protein low cal diet. No alcohol, no cheat meals—just discipline. 2. **Two 45-minute workouts daily**: One must be outdoors 3. **Daily progress picture** 4. **Drink 1 gallon of water** 5. **Read 10 pages of a book**: Currently reading The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene Starting weight: 205 lbs Goal weight: 180 lbs This is a battle against comfort, a test of mental toughness. Day 1 was just the beginning. Let's see what the next 74 days bring.

🦅🦅🦅By the age of 40, the eagle's claws become overly lengthy and supple, and it cannot grab its prey with it. Its beak becomes overly lengthy and curved, preventing it from eating. The plumage on its wings and chest become too thick and heavy and prevent it from flying gracefully in the sky. The eagle, faced with a choice: either death, or a long and painful period of change to last 150 days. It flies to its nest which may exceed eight feet wide, 12 feet high and weigh more than two tons on the top of the mountain and beats its beak against the rock for a long time until the beak breaks and comes off. The eagle waits for a new beak to grow and tear its claws out. When new claws grows, the eagle pulls out its over-heavy plumage on its chest and wings. Sequencing changes: Beak to Claw to Plummage. Removal through painful process and regeneration through patience with time. After 5 months of pain, hunger and torment, with a new beak, claws and plumage, the eagle is reborn and can live for another 30 years. Often times, in order to live, we have to change, sometimes this process is accompanied by pain, fear, anxiety. We get rid of memories, habits and traditions from the past. Only freeing ourselves from the burden of the past allows us to live and enjoy the present and prepare ourselves for the future. No matter what stage of life you are, I wish you courage and strength to constantly change. I strongly believe that one day we all will meet in the air, with our wings spread wide, our plumage shining bright and our claws achieving field spoils.🦅🦅🦅

Ever wonder why some of your athletes seem to be hurt, sick, or underperforming despite all of their (and your) best efforts to support them with all the things (strength training, strategically planned workouts, extra opportunities to 'get better,' etc.)? What are they eating? (Or not eating, in most cases.) Join us at The Performance Collective Summit: Energize, Empower, Excel to discover how to cultivate a positive fueling environment for adolescent athletes. Coaches, athletic trainers, and athletic directors are encouraged to attend. Organizations will have an opportunity to develop an individualized protocol to engage when a case of disordered eating or eating disorder is recognized. https://lnkd.in/gWKWMzcM Register today! I get that this topic is not top of mind for many professionals who support young athletes, but it is something we absolutely need to be aware of and prepared for when it presents. Equip yourself and your team with tools to prevent under fueling. Discover how we infuse FUN with food for the teams and organizations we support.
