I am what I am. I am what I think. I am the change. As an Indian, I dream of seeing India leading the world not just in population and democracy but in sports too. Despite being the largest democracy and having the largest population, our medal tally in events like the Olympics doesn’t reflect our potential. To change this narrative, I have dedicated resources to build world-class sports facilities. Our infrastructure includes indoor badminton courts, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a table tennis hall, and a 10-meter shooting range. These facilities have already seen champions like Archana Kamath, who has made it to the Indian table tennis team for the 2024 Paris Olympics. As a first-generation entrepreneur, I believe in giving back to the nation that shaped me. My goal is to nurture future champions and entrepreneurs, contributing to India’s success on the global stage. We need world-class sports facilities every 20-30 kilometers, and we can’t achieve this without the support of private and public sector companies. Our government has done a lot through the Khelo India initiative, and I am proud of what we have accomplished in the last Olympics. But we aren’t there yet. I request all corporates to come forward, adopt a sport, and support it in all possible ways. Together, we can bring India into the top 3 in the world. Let’s work together to make this vision a reality. #bethechange #indiansports #sportsforchange #indiarising #championmindset #indiaatolympics #futurechampions #supportsports #givingback #sportsinindia #sportsinfrastructure #indiantop3 #kheloindia #corporatesupport #entrepreneurship #olympicdreams #learningreimagined #prometheusschool Prometheus School #kheloindia KheloIndia

This Olympics has been an emotional rollercoaster for India. Our athletes performed at an incredibly high level, and even though we may not have secured as many podium finishes as hoped, it's clear that a new generation of athletes is rising. We've come a long way, and it's important to recognize and applaud the dedication and hard work of our athletes. Hats off to their efforts! However, the disputed and controversial decisions remind us that the journey to success isn't always straightforward. Despite these setbacks, we must stay optimistic and continue to support our athletes. While the progress is evident, it's clear that many of our athletes at the mid-career stage lack the necessary support to truly excel. Balancing peak performance with jobs, managing on inadequate diets, and facing limited resources are significant challenges. But these obstacles also highlight the incredible potential we possess. If we continue to invest in infrastructure and provide the right support, we can inspire and develop more athletes. We need to focus on building a robust system that identifies and nurtures talent from the state level, preparing them for national competitions and beyond. School-level programs can play a crucial role in this, helping to build athletes from the ground up. Together, we can ensure that our future Olympians have the foundation they need to succeed. Let's keep pushing forward! #Olympians

Why Does India Struggle in the Olympics 🥇 ? Despite being a nation with immense talent and potential, India's performance in the Olympics often falls short of expectations every time. Lets Evaluate 🤔 1) A significant reason for this is the "lack of a strong sports culture⚽". Unlike many other countries where sports are an integral part of life and education, India has historically focused more on academics🖊️. ( We all must sacrificed our sports and activity periods for the sake of math's additional class) 2) Limited Funding and support 💵 Many sport in India lacks adequate financial support .This has led to limited resources, infrastructure, and support for aspiring athletes. ( We all must had heard - Padhai krlo khelne me kuch nahi rakha ) 3) Insufficient Infrastructure 🏛 There is a lack of high-quality sports facilities and infrastructure, which hinders athletes' ability to train effectively. 4) Focus on Cricket 🏏 Cricket dominates the sports scene in India, attracting the majority of attention and resources, which can overshadow other sports like hockey, football, athletics etc. 5) Inadequate Talent Identification 🌟 There is often a lack of systematic talent identification and development programs to nurture young athletes from an early age unlike USA and China To improve our performance on the international stage, we need to foster a culture that values and promotes sports. This involves investing in infrastructure, providing proper training facilities, and encouraging young talent from the grassroots level. By making sports a priority, we can unlock the full potential of our athletes and see India shine in future Olympics. 🌟 Let's support and encourage the growth of sports culture in India! Can we make drastic changes in future? what do you think #Olympics #SportsCulture #India #Athletics #FutureChampions

A nation of 1.3 billion population, strugglling to win a single gold at the Paris Olympics. The reasons are deeply rooted in our societal mindset and the systemic challenges that our athletes face: 📌The Mindset Challenge: From a young age, many Indian children hear the phrase, "Padhoge likhoge toh banoge nawab, kheloge kudoge toh banoge kharab." This reflects a widespread belief that academic achievements are the sole pathway to success. As a result, sporting skills are often sidelined, and the pursuit of excellence in sports is rarely encouraged or prioritized by parents or schools. 📌A Cricket-Crazy Nation: Cricket, undoubtedly, is the heartbeat of the nation. There is a buzz before every game, anticipation & expectation, identifiable superstars, cricketers dominating prime-time ads. In every nooks and corners of India, young children dream of becoming the next Virat Kohli or Tendulkar. While cricket thrives, other sports are not propelled much and often end up getting lost in the shadow of cricket's immense popularity. 📌Lack of World-Class Infrastructure: This is a stark reality that our athletes often lack access to world-class infrastructure and training facilities owing to low budgetary allocation. It's ironic that while we reward those winning olympic medals with hefty sums, the journey to that success is fraught with challenges due to inadequate support. 📌Incentives and Career Risks: People naturally respond to incentives. In India, academic success is seen as a more secure and guaranteed path to a stable career. In contrast, pursuing sports is often perceived as a gamble, with slim chances of making it big. This risk-averse mindset further discourages many from considering sports as a viable career option. Share your thoughts in the comments. What do you think are the other underlying factors contributing to India's Olympic challenges? #olympics #IndiaAtTheOlympics #AtheleteSupport #CricketvsOtherSports

India's performance at the Olympic Games has often been a subject of wide discontentment. In the recently concluded Paris Olympics 2024, the 117-member strong Indian contingent was expected to achieve a double-digit medal count including multiple gold medals, however, that story didn’t pan out in the same fashion. This contrasts the powerhouse performances of Indian teams across non-Olympic sports like cricket and kabaddi, where the Indian contingent is seen as a force to be reckoned with. The historical focus on cricket has led to a disproportionate allocation of resources, neglecting other sports in terms of funding and media attention. The result is a nation rich in raw talent but lacking the systematic nurturing required to transform potential into world-class athletic achievements. Several trends are shaping up in India’s sports education market aimed at addressing these concerns, driven by a confluence of public and private initiatives aimed at addressing historical gaps in athlete development and training at the grassroots as well as professional levels. 🏅 Let's Change Our Focus: Embracing Sports for National Pride 🏃♂️🏑 In a nation driven by the pursuit of government jobs, academics, and corporate roles, it's time we shift our mindset to give due recognition to sports – the very arena that has the power to bring glory and pride to our country. The most surprising outcome of the Olympics? With a population exceeding 1.4 billion, India didn’t secure a single hashtag #gold medal 😮 Why doesn’t India win more at sports? The answer lies in a myriad of complex cultural factors. But a crucial one is that in India, people think #education is more important than #sports. Parents usually tell their kids to study hard rather than focus on sports because they see it as a safer and more respectable choice. But does this focus on education pay off? Absolutely. If we look at the leadership of major global companies, the number of CEOs of Indian origin is disproportionately large and impressive. So, while other countries may have 10 days of glory at the Olympics, India is winning in business and leadership every day 😎 copied post
