I'm excited to announce that, after a year in stealth, we launched Spotlight Medical today! Spotlight is founded based on my conviction that the time has finally come for AI to have a true impact in #precisionmedicine. In #cancer, many patients face over- or under-treatment leading to reduced survival rates and unnecessary side effects. We believe that patient data holds untapped potential, which #AI can harness to significantly improve #patientcare by identifying the most appropriate treatment for each individual. For the past 3 years, Spotlight’s team has built a new generation of AI that has unlocked unprecedented capabilities in tailoring treatments in #oncology. The potential impact on patient survival rates and quality of life is immense. Spotlight Medical’s clinical AI tests extract meaningful biological information from patient data within a secure and regulated framework. This data predicts treatment response efficacy, guiding oncologists in selecting the most suitable options for their patients. The technology is versatile, capable of handling various cancer types, with the first test focusing on a specific use case to be announced soon.   I'm humbled to work with outstanding co-founders, cancer centers, investors, and advisors to fulfill our mission. I truly believe that a new era in personalized cancer treatment is here and Spotlight is building the right technology to make it a reality—for patients and their families. As 2025 kicks off, I am optimistic that AI will take its place as a standard part of oncology care, helping physicians navigate this complex field and personalize interventions for patients. As the capabilities of AI evolve, we will continue to see its value when streamlining workflows and automating tasks, helping to support clinicians in several ways – including earlier diagnoses. With the global cancer burden projected to increase to 35 million new cases by 2050, we must embrace the combination of AI’s advanced and precise capabilities with our medical expertise to help us better diagnose, monitor, and treat cancer moving forward.
