Here's a huge fumble I witnessed by an HR team: My client was in talks with two companies, and got a verbal offer from one of them. She informed the other company that an offer was on the table. When they learned it was a verbal offer, they dismissed it. They told her she didn't have an "actual" offer. They said they weren't ready to make her an offer. She had built up a relationship with the hiring manager and other stakeholders over a month or so. They communicated regularly. They really wanted her to join. But she ended up going with the company that actually offered her a job. HR completely fumbled. Their loss. ✌️ #careers #jobs #careerdevelopment #jobsearch #hiring #personaldevelopment -- If you are ready for your next senior level role, join our next webinar on Oct 1 at 12pm ET. If a candidate, - changed a company every 2 years, then they would be considered as a job hopper. -stayed with a company for 10 years, then they would be considered as stagnated. - left a company without a job offer, then they would be considered incompetent. - changed to a different industry, then they would be considered not a specialist. - stayed with the company for an average of 3-5 years, somewhat perfect but you consider them too expensive. Well...the perfect candidate doesn't exist. Instead, focus on their personality and mindset when hiring, and then select the right candidates. Once you've done that, you can help them reach their full potential. #candidate #change #hiring #recruitment #jobs #interviewing

Dear Hiring Managers, finding the perfect balance between experience and qualifications can be tricky, but clarity goes a long way. Job seekers are often navigating mixed signals—needing to be ‘not too junior, not too senior,’ and ‘qualified, but not overqualified. In today’s market, it’s important to be transparent about expectations and show empathy for those searching for opportunities. Remember, no job or position is guaranteed forever, and one day, you may find yourself in their shoes. Let’s make the process fair and less daunting for everyone involved. #HiringManagers #JobSeekers #EmpathyInHiring #RecruitmentChallenges #JobMarket #FairHiring #HiringTrends #TalentAcquisition #RecruitmentTips #CareerDevelopment

As summer months roll in, it's natural to notice a slowdown in the recruiting process. Many team members take well-deserved vacations, and the pace of business may relax a bit. However, this doesn't mean that hiring comes to a halt. If you're looking for a new job, here is why you should continue to apply: • Opportunities are still open: many positions remain available for companies that are looking to fill them in September • Less competition: with fewer applicants during the summer, your chances of standing out increase • Continuous evaluation: HR teams are always dedicated to reviewing applications and conducting interviews, ensuring that the recruitment process moves forward. Keep applying: your next big career move could be just an application away! #consea #headhunting #recruiting

Recently I had a candidate accept an offer , only to change their mind the day before they were suppose to start. Infuriating right? Well yes, it really sucks for the employer, but the candidate had a better offer come through, and they took it. Years ago I probably would have said that was poor form. With experience and the shift in the employer-employee relationships in recent years. I would tell the candidate…. GOOD FOR YOU!! A company does what is best for the company, so you better believe you have gotta do what’s good for you. Does it make my job as a recruiter harder? Yes. But that’s what I get paid to do. Look out for yourself and your family. That’s always priority #1! #recruiting #jobseeking

After 12 years in recruitment, working with countless mid to senior-level professionals, I've noticed a pattern. Many successful individuals, despite their achievements, feel unfulfilled and lost in their careers. Does this resonate with you? - You’ve climbed the corporate ladder, but the view isn’t what you expected. - Your resume looks great, but your heart isn’t in it anymore. - You’re respected in your field, yet you wonder, “Is this all there is?” I’ve been there too. Not too long ago, I was earning a six-figure salary as a recruiter and, in the eyes of many, I was doing a fantastic job leading my team. But inside, I felt something was missing. Despite my success, I woke up each day feeling unfulfilled. I could continue doing what I was good at, but it didn’t make me jump out of bed with energy or give me a sense of meaning. My days became a blur of meetings and placements. While I excelled professionally, I felt a void. I had lost my spark and my sense of purpose. Here’s the truth I’ve learned after helping hundreds of professionals redefine their careers: It’s not about finding the next big job. It’s about aligning your career with your purpose. - Your career should energize you, not drain you. - Your work should be a canvas for your talents, not a cage for your potential. - Your job should fuel your purpose, not stifle your passion. Remember: You’re not just filling a position. You’re meant to shine in a role that leverages your talents. DM “Shine” if you aim to discover your innate talents and craft a career path that not only succeeds but truly shines. #Careerchange #Shine #Empowerment #JobFit #Fulfillment #Opportunities #Purpose #Success
