We had the pleasure of going to Kenya in December 2023 and we visited Manwar Farms - home of Moses Owino of Seedling Orchard and his brother, Ken Owino, who taught us about his organic home made composts, vermiculture, bee projects, ponds, vertical vegetable growing and more! Moses' Seedling Orchard is inspiring! And he had a hole prepared for us to plant a mango tree. The tree had black roots! So exotic! We are excited to go back and see how the mango tree is doing. Thank you, Moses, for this sweet gesture! Springboard Connectivity has already provided Manwar Farms, in Kisumu, Kenya, seeds, a laptop and a projector. They have a well that serves their community. That said, they expressed the need for a couple of solar pumps to help them save on the cost of electricity and the time it takes them to water all the kales in the hot season - they just use buckets from the river to the field. They said it would cut their time watering from 5 hours to 1 hour or less and they would share the solar pump with their neighbors who had the same situation. We are THRILLED to support this farm as they are doing SO MUCH to support Kenya with food security, reforestation and education on how to have an organic, holistic farm. Feel free to donate today to support projects like this: https://lnkd.in/gsx9ZQpk Thank you! Asante!

Since the co-founder, Tracy Tarlow, lived in Hawaii doing farming, gardening, and herbalism for eight years, she knew that this Bok Choi was fast growing, so she made sure to get her Kenyan folks some seeds. This is them harvesting the seeds a few months later. They are happy about their abundance of Bok Choi.

This is the Co-Founder, Tracy Tarlow, delighting in the fact that the Sunflower Seeds she sent to Kenya were now almost double the size of her! Thanks to our team for helping us get seeds rounded up and over to Kenya. They need more biodiversity in their farms and thus, the seeds being sent. Use this link https://lnkd.in/gheJKmQ9 to invest in supporting these amazingly humble and kind Kenyan folks, who also provide a straightforward example of how much we all depend on our environment to get our needs met. If we nurture the environment and get our basic needs met, we will live in prosperity and harmony with the Earth. That is what Springboard Connectivity is all about. 😃

Meet the future men of Malaha. They are boys now - playful and joyful. They travel many miles to get water for their families. Imagine that so many hours are spent collecting water and energy spent on transporting it. While these boys seem happy, their opportunity for growth is limited if they need to spend all their time doing this. Imagine if water was more easily accessible for them, and cleaner; they would be able to focus their time and energy on learning, exploring new skill sets, teaching others, traveling, playing, etc. They would have more opportunity to find out what they feel inspired to do, what they want to give to and be in their community. This photo is a joyful expression of water collecting, which it can be. Although, there is a dark side... in some places, women sell their bodies for water or young teens who are standing idol in the water collection lines end up fornicating and making babies unintentionally. Giving basic needs will allow children to spend more time learning - helping them make wise decisions for their future - eventually contributing to society in meaningful ways. Please consider helping these youth by investing $10 into our well fund today. We are raising $20K for the solar powered well and the village of Malaha, including these young boys, will be so thankful you did as their futures will be changed forever. Invest your energy in a future that works for all: https://lnkd.in/gheJKmQ9

Our GoFundMe is Live! We are raising $20K for those in Malaha to have better access to clean drinking water and water to keep their crops alive during the droughts, which are getting worse every year. Your investment in a well for Malaha Village will have ripple effects to the entire world as it will catalyze tree nurseries, food forests, healthy people, and more! Did you know that the word for Abundance in Hawaiian is Wai Wai? Wai translates to Water. Water is life and all beings deserve an abundant life. We are starting with gifting a well to a Village in Kenya because money goes farther there, the people are in need and they are so appreciative whenever we give them things that we know they will do good things with this gift. And one of the main reasons being that one of our co-founders is from Kenya. Your contribution today will enhance the lives of many.
