Managing data & strategy esp. for environmental, social, & governance compliance, risk reduction, & best practices
Super interesting to see how Netflix #content aligns with their #sustainability and #ESG #goals! Does your company implement and make #progress towards your stated #targets? If not, why not? Would a better #understanding of your #data help you find #alignment and hit that #triplebottomline for your #shareholders and #stakeholders? How can Protiviti help?
Netflix's mega comedy festival last week featured a sold-out show hosted by well-known "humorist" Nick Offerman called "Nick Offerman and Friends vs Climate Crisis". After 2 hours of non-stop laughing, my cheeks hurt! The lineup included Kumail Nanjiani, Mae Martin, Nicole Byer, Pattie Gonia, and Steve Agee, plus surprise guests Puddles Pity Party and Atsuko Okatsuka, and raised funds for environmental non-profit NRDC’s mission to use science, policy, law, and people power to confront the climate crisis, protect public health, and safeguard nature. https://lnkd.in/daNKV-Bz

If you want to smile today, watch this little video.
As an agency, this is certainly one of our zanier moments. Mazzio's wanted to help the Tulsa SPCA promote an upcoming fundraiser comedy show, so we organized a pizza-themed photo shoot to create a content library for the occasion. Dogs and cats alike posed with Mazzio's props to show off their natural comedic flair. (All of these good boys and girls are up for adoption, by the way.)

Check this out....and pleasssssssssssse don’t forget this is National Affordable Housing month…..as an Ambassador for PATH in support of homeless population, I am focused on sharing the facts about homelessness – “Most groups of color have higher rates of homelessness than their White counterparts—and, in some cases, far higher. Within the White group, 11 out of every 10,000 people experience homelessness. For Black people, that number is more than four times as large—48 out of every 10,000 people. Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islanders particularly stand out as having the highest rates, with 121 out of every 10,000 people experiencing homelessness. The racial and ethnic groups with the highest incidences of homelessness have extensive histories of experiencing oppression, including displacements from land and property and exclusions from housing opportunities. Effectively addressing homelessness will likely require invested partners to account for America’s history, and that history’s influence on current culture, policy, and practice.”…. I ask you to donate to our local nonprofit PATH, who is committed to offering support to the homeless population that face challenges of housing insecurity. Homelessness can and does impact everyone....….Here is the link to donate to PATH Giving Day on or before May 15th. Any and all donations are accepted, because together we can make a difference for the greater good of our community -- https://lnkd.in/gEHmtbkQ

The PR Fixer - Chief Strategist at The Fixers Group, author, Theater of Lies (misinformation divides, with purpose). Expert commentary on the impact of lies and misinformation on business, governments, and media.
I am challenged by the continuing assault on artists for the views they express in their work. In the case of comedians, such as Rob Schneider, the art is comedy and its performance. I understand that some people are offended, but as Rowan Atkinson of "Mr. Bean" fame said, "free speech without the right to offend is not free speech at all." People have the right to not like an artist's work. They have the right, as people did in this case, walk out of the performance. But forcing the hospital to apologize for booking the artist is a step too far - in my opinion. Instead, performances such as these are best used - if you are offended - as stages for public debate, not a demand for apologies or cancellations. We will be all better for it. Let's not focus on wars of culture, but rather identify problems and discuss solutions. Good art raises these questions - which is what Mr. Schneider did. https://lnkd.in/dKKUxebr

I want to take a moment to highlight an incredible client doing truly meaningful work: Actors PLAYground. Amber Ryan Cepkauskas, the owner and creative director, along with her husband, Matt Cepkauskas, have poured their hearts into creating a space where kids can not only learn the art of theater but also build confidence, find their voices, and develop skills like empathy and teamwork. It’s not just about acting—it’s about helping young people grow into their authentic selves. Amber has deep roots in theater, and Actors PLAYground is her labor of love. This year, they’re going all in: leasing a space, casting shows and seeking grant funding to keep this dream alive. And they’re investing in doing it right—while still respecting the reality of a nonprofit budget. I’ve had the privilege of working with Amber and Matt before, and they are, simply put, amazing humans. And they surround themselves with talented, kind-hearted people who share their passion for helping kids thrive. Getting to collaborate with them on this journey has been a professional high point for me. As many of you know, youth activities are rarely about creating future stars—they’re about teaching life lessons. Theater teaches skills that carry kids forward for life: confidence, collaboration, creativity. Amber and Matt know this, and they’ve built something special that deserves our attention. If you’re looking for a way to support a local nonprofit that’s making a difference in kids’ lives, I highly encourage you to learn more about Actors PLAYground—and if you're so inclined, consider donating to help them continue this important work.
