With the Specialist combines medical expertise with technological innovation. Trust in a solution created by doctors, for doctors, and revolutionize your approach to neurological care.
In a Medscape Cardiology podcast, Dr. Robert Harrington and Dr. C. Michael Gibson discuss key developments in cardiovascular medicine for 2023. They explore the challenges of Maintenance of Certification (MOC) and the push for a separate cardiovascular medicine board. Addressing discontent with MOC methods, they advocate for more efficient, on-demand, micro-continuing medical education. The conversation also delves into the future of medical training, questioning the duration and structure of cardiology training programs. The second major topic is artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with a focus on its potential impact on clinical medicine, research, and education. While expressing excitement about AI's possibilities, both speakers remain cautious, emphasizing the need for rigorous clinical investigation into AI's effectiveness and addressing concerns such as data bias. The podcast concludes with a glimpse into the evolving landscape of medical practice, leaving room for further exploration of these transformative trends in 2024. #aiinhealthcare With the Specialist combines artificial intelligence with a board certified neurologist to enhance neurological care in the primary care setting. #withthespecialist #neurology https://lnkd.in/gExrwg2P https://lnkd.in/g-TGcMib

Dynamic Regional Sales Director | AI SaaS Cloud Based Technology | Spearheading Market Expansion in Healthcare | Building High-Performing Sales Teams
A lot of times we hear “We have EEG coverage” The dilemma is…. In the ICU and ED…. Getting an EEG can take a few hours to 24-48 hours. Then having an EEG placed running without knowing at the bedside what that EEG says…. and treating empirically prior to getting the EEG….. then waiting longer to find out what the EEG says…. Is that point of care? Is that 24/7 seizure detection? Could you ever imagine….. as an ICU or ED physician… Waiting even a few hours to get an EKG? Using clinical suspicion to determine If your patient was in VTach/AFib Then getting a 5 or 12 lead But not being able to read it And making clinical decisions? Finding out later what the EKG said? That’s what is happening with the brain. Because there’s never been a technology That allows for Real time seizure detection Ruling out seizure in minutes Alarming for Electrographic Status Tracking medication for efficacy With AI In real time at the bedside To give you EEG Telemetry The 5 lead EKG for the Brain Until now. Please listen below to Dr. Brandon Foreman explain how Ceribell │ AI-Powered Point-of-Care EEG has changed the game.

If you are interested in learning more about how to determine brain death/death by neurologic criteria (BD/DNC) in adults and children, you should check out this article published in Neurology, the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology. The article presents the results of a novel, evidence-informed formal consensus process that was used to update and integrate the previous guidelines for BD/DNC evaluation. The article provides 85 recommendations on various aspects of the BD/DNC evaluation, such as general principles, qualifications, prerequisites, components, apnea testing, ancillary testing and special considerations. The article aims to provide clear and consistent guidance for clinicians who perform BD/DNC evaluations and to improve the quality and accuracy of BD/DNC determination. This article is important because it addresses a critical and complex issue in medicine and ethics that has significant implications for organ donation, end-of-life care, religious beliefs and social norms. The Row Fogo Centre researches disorders resulting from the pathological impairment of the small blood vessels of the brain.
🏆 Thrilled to share that medical student Thomas Zhang has been honoured with the 'Best Poster Presentation' award at the Scottish Universities Neurology and Neurosurgery Conference! 🎉 Thomas’s poster, titled “Stroke, Small Vessel Disease, and Occupation: Systematic Review and Data Analysis,” delved into the impact of occupation on the severity of small vessel disease (SVD). The findings suggest that exposure to high-risk substances in the workplace may indeed be linked to a higher severity of SVD. This emphasises the importance of considering occupational factors in understanding and managing neurological conditions like stroke.
