If you're staffing up for the holidays and want to incorporate events into your strategy, DM me for a free hiring event—Virtual or In-Person—and I'll make it happen.
Happy Hiring :)

Managers:
You cannot hire a 22-year-old to have 5 years of relevant work experience for an entry-level job?
Hire based on attitude and give them a chance period. 😌

"I don't, and will never, use recruiters." - heard this one today for probably the 100th time in my career.
I understand we're not everyone's favorite industry in the world, and there are some real horror stories out there, but look on the bright side*;
- We've never had your car towed.
- We've never overcooked your steak.
- We've never dropped your homemade hummus all over your carpet.
- We've never blocked your sink.
- We've never dropped a 5-yard TD pass for your team.
2 things we have done more than 0 times?
- Landed someone THE candidate they wanted.
- Landed someone THE job they wanted.
If you don't want to use us, that's OK. If you do, I promise not to undercook your ribeye again.
*If any of these have happened to you PLEASE share your story and make my day.

If I’m working with your company to get new talent in, this is what I bring 👇
• On average the Taylor-Miller hire is promoted after 2 years
• 87% of people I get to final interview accept the job and start it
• The average Taylor-Miller gets promoted twice
• A bucket load of honesty that will help you uncluck any hiring process you have
• Fun, (because its important)
Yes I love chickens and yes I might even dress up as a chicken sometimes, but that doesn’t stop me being one of the best FMCG recruiters out there.
And it doesn’t stop my having access to the best talent either 🐔

Don't write a job description when you're hungry.
Just like, don't go to the grocery store when you're hungry.
You'll end up wanting more than you really need.

This post really drives home a point I've tried to make numerous times. It's from someone who, despite their extensive experience, has been struggling to find work for over a year - even being rejected for roles like cashier.
This is why I keep saying: just because something worked for you, doesn't mean it will work for everyone.
There are many reasons for this, and one of them is discrimination. Whether it's racism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, or other forms of bias - these factors significantly impact a person's job search, often in ways that aren't immediately visible. And in this job market, it's even worse.
So please, stop telling people to "just go get a job at the grocery store." It's not that simple. This person's story isn't unique - I've heard similar accounts from others.
And consider for a moment what it does to someone who's worked in the corporate world their entire career, only to have it all taken away through no fault of their own. The emotional and psychological impact is real.
Your way doesn't work for everyone.
Their circumstances may not be the same as yours.
They are not you. You are not them.
Instead of judging or offering one-size-fits-all advice, start helping.
Share job leads. Offer to review resumes. Make warm introductions.
And if you absolutely can't help, at least refrain from saying harmful things.
Let's foster a community of support and understanding. The job market is tough enough without adding unnecessary judgment to the mix.
Wishing you the very best of luck on your upcoming interviews, DeAnna Judd! 🤞🤞🤞 You've got this!

The struggle is real!
For my crew on the #greenbannergang we can all agree that sometimes life throws us a curve ball with our careers. At 15 months post-layoff, I’m still looking for an opportunity to continue my career of HR/Employee Relations.
When my unemployment ran out in April, I found myself applying and getting offered a seasonal admin role at a local landscaping company. That ends this Friday. It was supposed to end 30-days ago but I was able to work another 30 days! Thank God. But in 24 hours I receive my final paycheck!
For those of you following my story, I was excited to have made it to an onsite interview with a local grocery store this past Monday for a cashier position.
Well, this morning I received the rejection email. 😩
No one believes me when I say I can’t get a pizza delivery gig, a Costco warehouse job and now a grocery store position? I’m at a loss & continue to be confused by the job market at all levels.
However, also in the last 3 days, I have found myself being contacted for two different HR/ER roles! 😃
So I’m going to turn my frown upside down from my 16 rejection emails I’ve received this week, and focus on the other two organizations who want to speak with me further.
Fall down 10 times, get up 11. It’s hard as hell & the bruises suck, but I’m no quitter!!
Wish me luck on my next two interviews this week! 🍀

#RecruitingJourney#CareerChange#MadeItIntoRecruiting
Hey everyone! 😊 I wanted to share my journey into recruiting and see if anyone out there can relate or has a similar story. Is this how many people end up in the recruiting industry?
So, a little background: I was coaching in professional baseball when I decided to apply for a manufacturing position. I was excited but ended up interviewing for a warehouse tech role that I didn’t get. 😅
But here’s where it gets interesting! Two weeks after that, the recruiter called me back. He said they thought I was super chill and asked if I’d be interested in a recruiter position they had open. I went through two interviews, and now that recruiter is actually my manager! How cool is that? 🙌
Here’s the twist: I’ve taken over for a low-performing recruiter who got let go just two weeks after I joined. Putting two and two together, it seems like I stepped into a bit of a shake-up. Now I'm in a role where I help hire people for jobs in manufactu...
