STAFF SPOTLIGHT! BreAnn Constantineau has been a part of the Stevens Point Area YMCA for 3 years, she currently holds the title of “Member Services & Marketing Director” so you can usually find her at the Member Services desk or in her office studying Search Engine Optimization! We are so grateful that BreAnn is a part of our community! BreAnn also spends a lot of time out at Camp Glacier Hollow, which is a place that has a track record of creating some great memories! “Running out of gas in the gator at Glacier Hollow and getting pulled by Ryan and the big tractor, setting up a pulley system (with a tractor and trees) to drag massive furniture out of a tiny building at Glacier Hollow.” She also loves seeing all the campers have fun and hearing all the laughter! We also asked BreAnn what skills she has learned from working here and how they help her achieve her professional goals: “Patience, multi-tasking, organization, and marketing. Day-to-day operations keep me multitasking! With the sheer volume of projects happening at the same time, staying organized is critically important!” Outside of work, BreAnn likes to watch her children play sports, go camping, backpack, ride her horses, and hang out on the boat! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

Marketing Manager @ Town of Mooresville NC | Driving Growth & Engagement | Driven By Innovation | Brand Development Junkie
DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE In my current role as Marketing Manager for the Mooresville Parks & Recreation Department, I have always felt it was important that the core of our purpose be defined. This definition creates clarity and defines actions, both for the internal team, and the community we are tasked with serving. Although you may struggle to clearly and accurately define that purpose, as we did initially, often simplicity is the answer. For our department, the addition of these four words clearly defines our purpose. "WHERE THE FUN BEGINS!" #marketing #purpose #clarity #mission

Owner at AJB Sports in Education I Creator at Active Minds I Believer of creating an environment using Sport and Physical Activity for all ages and abilities. Currently living and working from Mexico.
Might be a simple picture, but behind the scenes it means a lot. I really enjoyed our Summer camp marketing and schedule meeting last Friday. After years of planning the majority of the company and its ideas on my own - to adding a few faces in along the way - its so nice to get to the point where you bring together a team (across different sections and programs of the company). Everyone comes to the meeting enthusiastic, with great ideas, they listen and bounce ideas off each other and, importantly, we leave the meeting with a clear idea and goal to achieve over the next week. It's great to sit back and listen to their great ideas and then plan to implement them this summer. Our summer offering is taking another huge evolutionary step into how, and what, we do at our camps. We are not talking just short term, ideas and the implementation of them, will forge what holiday camps, and other areas of the company, will look like for the near future. I love listening to the staffs ideas and hearing that enthusiasm and excitement for them. Makes us all feel like part of the same team, working together. #staffmeeting #marketing #ideas #future

New day, new strategy to help you and your kids thrive this summer! Every Friday, my kids and I plan an outing of some sort. So far this summer, we’ve gone paddle boating in the downtown canal, we’ve spent the day at the pool and we’ve headed to our neighborhood coffee shop with friends for chocolate croissants. The outings that we plan are not huge, costly adventures but rather simple things that are driven by my kids’ interests, as well as their summer bucket lists. Some of our outings may be a bit more involved (a day trip to explore caves, for instance), but those are few and far between. They also take turns choosing a place for us to enjoy a treat each Friday. 🍦🧁🍪 I typically involve my kids in the planning process so they feel a sense of ownership in the day, but occasionally I will surprise them with an activity or adventure. I also rely heavily on local resources such as @indywithkids and @indyschild to help me find fresh ideas. Of course, you can structure these outings in whatever way works best for your family. The idea is simply to get out of the house, do something together and let the kids explore new places and activities. What outings do you have planned with your kids for the summer? What resources do you rely on in your area?

FishingBooker hit the ball out of the park with last year's trip to Rovinj. Our Support Team also has a long tradition of exciting and engaging team buildings, as we've heard from numerous people in the company that they'd love to join us. So, what's our secret? 🥳 Events, events, and events! More specifically, custom-made events that you yourself can organize on the property you're renting. This gives you the flexibility to fine-tune the event to your team's overall interests and hobbies. One thing we do that spices up the activities considerably is making friendly competitions out of them! 🗓 This year, we're doing a team-based competition in the following events: 🍝 Making ravioli fresh from scratch 🍕 Making pizza fresh from scratch 🎨🍷 Wine and paint (we're competing in painting, not who can drink the most wine. We're not THAT unhinged of a team.) The cherry on top of every team-building cake is merch. That's why we also made a special design for aprons that are practical for both cooking and painting, while the design incorporates: ⚫️ The three main activities ⚫️ Fishing (what our company does) ⚫️ The light-hearted tone that shines throughout our team Want to learn more about our team-building recipe? I could start this post with "here are 3 things camping taught me about marketing"... ...and guess what, I will continue with that post. But, hang around, it may be worth a read! 🌲 The great outdoors are magical, literally. They help unscramble all things in your mind and organize them into what's next, what's important, etc. The ole "slow down to speed up" approach to help make any marketing project successful. ⛺ There's so much going on at once, birds chirping, squirrels chasing each other, fires crackling, people trying to put up their tent, etc. - but they all have one goal in mind - be in nature. Each channel has their individual objectives but they each connect up to a business goal. 🎣 Whether it's your first cast or 50th, there's always something new to learn. From new industries, evolving channels, or processes; and it doesn't happen overnight - it takes time, but it's a fun journey along the way! Fellow marketing outdoor enthusiasts - did I miss anything? #Marketing #outdoors

International Zoo Consultant / Zoo & Safari Park project consultant / Zoo Director / Independent Zoo Auditor helping with most zoo problems, giving an unbiased report.
One of the saddest things I have seen was when the majority of ground staff at a safari park had no trust or respect in their Director / Operations Manager and the management staff that person had working under them. There was a few reasons for this, one being because of the politics this individual continually played within the management team in their attempt to grasp power. The other reason was because everyone in the park knew that this person was given the position not because they had anu experience or skills in management (in fact they had never been in any management position before) but because of who they were related to. This became more evident very quickly as mistake after mistake kept happening under this person watch, with a higher-than-normal staff turnover. The saddest thing to see was the total waste of a new safari park with so many opportunities to stand out in the region, being lost because of poor management. It was pointed out that there was a problem with the total lack of professionalism, and opportunities were offered many times to help train this person, but unfortunately because of pride or just blatant stupidity these offers were turned down over and over again by the operations manager. The result was that a park that had so much potential quickly lost many of its good staff and very quickly became a joke in the region among other zoos and businesses. But all is not lost for this park, just because of one person's lack of understanding of what is needed to run a successful zoo or safari park. To turn things around it would need some hard decisions to be made and changes in management that would upset those that feel they are above reproach. But I believe that every parks problems can be solved if those running the park or those that own the park are open to change and direction. It naturally won't happen overnight as years of mismanagement and the loss of trust in the management team will take time to repair, but over time it would happen and the parks credibility and reputation within the zoo industry and with the public would return. timhusband2005@gmail.com

*who saw the hermit crab? . Let me explain: . Cole has been a Professional fisherman and captain his entire life. When we met, he was going away for 5-6 months at a time to work jobs all over the world. . It got to a point where we didn’t want to be apart for long periods of time. We had just crossed the Pacific Ocean together and I just started digital marketing. In my first 6 months I started averaging 20-30k and I was able to retire Cole from having to go away to work as a professional captain. . Disclaimer* He’s not completely retired … Now he gets to work onboard to keep the boat happy ♥️😅 but we don’t have to be apart any more! . Most humans spend the majority of their lives away from their loved ones. What would it mean to you to be able to retire your partner so you could stay together and spend more time together or with your kids 🫶🏼 . If you want the exact same method I used to retire my fiancé, comment « Ready » below and I’ll send you a DM with all the details! . . #digitalnomads #digitalnomadlife #digitalmarketingforbeginners2024 #digitalmarketing
