Think and Lead? More like Think, Learn, and Network! Today, I had the opportunity to attend the first session of NC State's Think & Lead seminar series as a proud MEM grad student, and WOW—it was one of the reasons I chose this program! Kicking off the sem in style was none other than Dr. Sarah Glova, who shared her brilliant insights on networking in Research Triangle Park. Her advice? "Connect to discover, not to acquire!" She dropped a game-changer: networking isn’t about collecting “tickets” like you’re at an arcade, looking for instant gratification. It’s about sharing stories—because, as Sarah put it, "stories are just data with a soul." Takeaways: 🔄 Networking is not transactional, it's relational! 🎤 Sharing stories at networking events? It's the secret sauce! 📍 There are SO many networking opportunities beyond career fairs—think conferences, community events, and even casual meetups! With career fairs just around the corner, this was exactly the boost I needed to approach networking with a fresh perspective! Big thanks to Dr. Sarah Glova for the inspiring session and to the NC State Engineering Management department, Dr Brandon McConnell,Miss Kalene Thomas for putting out these Think & Lead seminars. Already looking forward to the next one! 🙌 #ThinkAndLead #NCSUMEM #Networking #CareerFairPrep #ResearchTrianglePark #StorytellingInNetworking

Hey #LinkedIn fam — if you have connections or opportunities in supply chain optimization, data analytics, or business process improvement, I’d love for you to meet Gangothri Kashipura Mallikarjun 🙌 I met her last week when I spoke to the Master of Engineering Management program at North Carolina State University! She's an excellent communicator, very proactive, and I'd love to see her grow a supportive network while she's studying in #Raleigh. She has hands-on experience in supply chain management, data analysis, and process optimization through her work at ZS Associates and Airbus India, where she streamlined data delivery and developed data-driven strategies, resulting in SIGNIFICANT cost savings and process improvements. Now, she's looking for internships that will allow her to explore supply chain technology, business analytics, or operational efficiency more deeply, or connections that will help her learn more about this field as she works toward graduation. If you know of any opportunities or connections in #tech or #manufacturing, please consider making an introduction or sharing this post. Let’s help Gangothri continue to make an impact! 💼 #networking #supplychainmanagement #businessanalytics #careeropportunities
