We’re proud to announce that Breaker Breaker has been awarded a 2024 Award of Excellence by Atlanta’s Urban Design Commission. Working from the project’s onset with the Reynoldstown community, we embraced the site’s former use as a steel fabrication yard and repurposed an existing building set for demolition into a super-roof, both to provide shade and shelter to much of the exterior while also honoring the neighborhoods industrial history. Congratulations to our clients Bridger Properties and their partners Alex Brounstein and Johnny Farrow. A big thank you to the The American Institute of Architects (AIA) chapters of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia for awarding Georgia Tech’s Ramblin’ Reck Garage with an Aspire Design Citation Award. It was an honor for our team to work with the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Ramblin’ Reck Club to design the Reck’s new permanent home dedicated to the display, care, and public engagement for the vehicle and beloved mascot. Since joining our team in 2019, Sean Flaharty has been a leading design voice across the office. He is a gifted problem identifier, true collaborator, and unique design talent. As partner, he steps into the role of market sector leader for our food and beverage and mixed-use work, while continuing to work with clients as a senior project manager. Sean's design leadership and curiosity will continue to be a core piece of the experience we deliver for our clients as we grow.    Congrats, Sean!

Maggie Jones joined our team in 2018 and has been our solid and consistent rock ever since. She has helped us navigate the ever-changing landscape of our workplace through both a strategic and empathetic lens. As partner, she continues as managing director leading firm strategy, planning efforts, internal relations, and business initiatives. Maggie ensures that all voices are heard and that we are focused on building the necessary relationships to be successful. She will continue to refine our practices to support our team and clients so that we all can make a meaningful impact in our communities.   Congrats, Maggie!

Since joining our team in 2017, Emily Mastropiero has been a force to be reckoned with. She has a natural drive and infectious energy which she brings to the forefront of everything she does. As partner, she steps into the role of market sector leader for our hospitality and retail work, while continuing to work with clients as a senior project manager. Emily’s commitment to the blending of architecture and interiors allows her to advocate at the highest level for our clients.   Congrats, Emily!

We are proud to announce that Emily Mastropiero, Maggie Jones, and Sean Flaharty have joined firm ownership and have been promoted to partners!   For several years now, these three have been involved in the decision-making alongside John, Vivian, and Blake, and like our founders, they embody our core values of empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. They are also passionate about developing our team and growing the firm.   With this evolution, John and Vivian will expand their attention on external efforts and community engagement creating space for the partners to drive day-to-day operations and lead firm growth into our third decade of collaborating with our clients to build better communities through our work.
