Overstimulation (but not much #healthtech, yet) aka "Day 1 at CES"   #CES has proven to be nothing if not a visual medium -- click the link below for some pictures and videos from Day 1!   1️⃣ 1️⃣ Highlights from today: 1️⃣ 1️⃣ 🪐 Las Vegas, as always, feels like another planet. 🪫 In the "accessories" South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center -- not a lot of #healthtech (wearable Theragun knockoffs, a few TENS-like devices, etc...). Lots and lots and lots of chargers, battery packs, phone cases, and modular displays. 🏙️ The scale of #bigtech entering into health and wellness cannot be understated. The Samsung booth is correctly branded as "Samsung City" -- at least 3x the size of the largest booth I ever saw during peak-HIMSS craziness. One small corner (in reality, probably 30'x60', a giant booth for a typical health tech conference) focused on Samsung's investments in wellness.   2️⃣ 2️⃣ What I am looking for on Day 2: 2️⃣ 2️⃣ 🛋️ What tech applications in other venues (displays in the living room, home automation, retail intelligence, marketing AI) can be applied to healthcare use cases? 😁 What is the "vibe" in the digital health pavilions vs. big tech?
