📚 #NodeRecs: Echoing Exhibition Views: Subjectivity in Post-Digital Times. Edited by A.R. practice (Agnieszka Roguski & Ann Richter) When the exhibition enters the digital realm, as it is increasingly happening—when the display of art and culture can be enjoyed individually behind screens—then how does the exhibition view diffuse optically, technically, and culturally? And how does this transformation echo the new understanding of subjectivity? Echoing Exhibition Views. Subjectivity in Post-Digital Times explores the different medialities and intersubjective shifts that follow the moment of seeing a physical exhibition today. The digitized exhibition viewing is a starting point for artistic and theoretic reflections on post-digital culture, hyperreality and its relation to subjectivity. #DigitalArt #DigitalMseums #VisitingArtExhibitions #PostDigital #DigitalRealm #VirtualExhibitions #ArtTheory #ArtBooks

Recently, Osaka received a significant endorsement from the government by being designated as “Special Zones for Financial and Asset Management Businesses”. This designation is a crucial milestone in our ambition to establish Osaka as an international financial city. Our vision is to create a robust ecosystem that supports this goal, leveraging the dynamic sectors of fintech and art as key drivers of growth. Fintech, with its innovative technologies, plays a pivotal role in accelerating our objectives. By fostering a thriving fintech environment, we aim to position Osaka at the forefront of global financial innovation, thereby uplifting Japan and making a significant impact on the world stage. Moreover, our growth strategy is uniquely enhanced by integrating art into our development plans. Art not only enriches our cultural landscape but also drives economic development and attracts international attention. Through these combined efforts, we are committed to transforming Osaka into a center of progress and innovation, ensuring that it becomes a leading hub for financial and cultural excellence globally.
On June 20th, Mayor Yokoyama of Osaka City atteneded and greeted in the special private viewing and reception "An Evening of Art and Jazz" where art and finance intersect, hosted by Bloomberg at the National Museum of Art, Osaka. In his greeting, he introduced that Osaka as a city where culture and arts, such as Kamigata culture, have flourished for a long time, and that the city is now positioning art as a strategic element for promoting urban appeal in preparation for Expo. He also spoke about his commitment to promote Osaka as an international financial city, in anticipation of visits to Hamburg in Germany as its sister city, and Greater Manchester and London in the UK.
