We had a great panel discussion last night about the EU AI Act. Thank you to the alphalist members Tim Kleinloog, Matthias Lein and Karla Maria Zinreich for a great panel discussion. Some cool insights we got: - Integrate best practices into your #MLOps right now. For inspiration, look at the #ResponsibleAI movement, the Machine Learning of the #GDPR act (thanks Tim for the tip), and the actual legislation (Slide 6 of Tim's Crash Course might be helpful - https://lnkd.in/ejUHFuGd) - Like you do with ISO certification, you will need to continuously monitor your models. - The Transparency part is harder with commercial models like OpenAI #GPT, and easier with #open-source models like Mistral AI) -The Foundation models are liable for their model, but you are liable for how you apply that model in production. - "Human in the Loop" will be needed for certain implementation of the regulation. Matthias shared with us that he helped companies that have #RecSys in place, but a human does the actual "approval" Watch the recording - what did you take out of it? Let us know in the comments :) P.S. Want to attend events like these? If you are a CTO leading a team of 20+ FTE in a tech product company, then check out alphalist -https://lnkd.in/e2Hib9Wy.
