What gives people a sense of community? As I work on helping a client run their 4-week live cohort program, we've seen a lot more community engagement for this cohort as compared to previous ones. This is obviously great because community is super important with a live course and it hasn't been easy at all to try to figure out. So, as I read more into the science of community, I came across 4 key factors inherent in developing a strong sense of community (as articulated by McMillan and Chavis) If you're building a course powered by community, your community has to work! So, here is what to focus on to make that happen.
