Starting a business in a developing nation can present numerous challenges that can make the process quite difficult. These challenges can range from infrastructure and regulatory obstacles to economic instability and institutional inefficiencies.
To begin with, infrastructure limitations can impede the process of establishing and running a business. In developing nations, inadequate transportation networks, unreliable power supply, and limited access to basic utilities can hinder the smooth operation of a business. This can lead to increased operational costs and decreased efficiency, posing significant challenges to entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, navigating through complex and ambiguous regulatory frameworks can be daunting for prospective business owners. Bureaucratic red tape, lengthy and convoluted permit processes, and unclear legal requirements can create significant barriers to entry and expansion. Additionally, corruption and lack of transparency within regulatory bodies can exacerbate the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs, leading to a lack of trust in the system.
Economic instability and currency fluctuations in developing nations can also pose formidable challenges to budding entrepreneurs. High inflation rates, volatile exchange rates, and limited access to financial services can create uncertainty and risk, making it difficult to secure necessary funding and plan for long-term business sustainability.
Institutional inefficiencies, such as inadequate access to education and skilled labor, can further compound the challenges of starting a business in a developing nation. Limited availability of skilled professionals can hamper the growth and development of a business, stifling innovation and productivity.
In conclusion, starting a business in a developing nation is a complex and arduous task, rife with a myriad of challenges. Overcoming these obstacles requires resilience, creativity, and a deep understanding of the local context. While the path may be fraught with difficulties, successful entrepreneurship in developing nations can lead to meaningful economic development and societal progress.

Here are three things I learnt on day one at a global mystery shoping conference in Cyprus.
1. there is still no alternative.
2. A.I. must wait.
3. the danger of dilution

Food on or close to it's sell by or use by date needs to be discounted by 90% to stop food waste, only then if it is not sold should it be eligible to go biogas energy and digestate fertiliser. If it is edible, not significantly discounted and goes straight into biogas and digestate then it is food wasted. Companies that take this option need to be sanctioned.
Have you ever wondered what one of Marks and Spencer's' dumpsters might look like after closing? I wonder where the discounts are? No interest in selling this food & drink to British consumers? I recently visited the UK & I was truly gobsmacked by food prices. Is it not...
...shocking to see retailers continuing to dump out the un-discounted daily Food "Waste" via the back to produce government-subsidised "bio-eco-gas energy" & "digestate fertiliser"?
This work comes from a campaigner called M. Proudman, who is dumpster diving regularly near where they live. I hope to share more of their critical work in the weeks to come to give folks an idea of what's happening out there.
