I've spoken to about a dozen Salesforce Admins over the past week who've mentioned wanting to become a Salesforce Architect. So, I thought I'd offer some practical advice on how to get there based on what I typically look for when sourcing & screening for architect roles: 🖥 Deepen your Technical Expertise 🖥 While declarative skills are valuable, Apex proficiency is generally expected and necessary for most Salesforce Architect roles. 💙 Diversify your Salesforce Experience 💙 A seasoned architect should have hands-on experience with multiple Salesforce products. There are ways to do this without excessive "job-hopping." A stint at a Salesforce consulting partner allows you to solve a wide range of problems and get hands-on experience with more features and clouds. Or if you prefer working for in-house for an end user, look for an employer that uses multiple Salesforce clouds across several departments. 🗨 Build Soft Skills 💬 A Salesforce Architect needs to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A great way to practice: Explain to friends & family members outside of the tech world what you did in Salesforce that day. When you can explain a Flow to your Nana, you're ready for an interview! 🤔 Start Thinking Like an Architect 🤔 Whether or not a particular Salesforce Architect role has direct reports, you'll be viewed as a team leader. As an admin, you can start building those leadership skills by volunteering to mentor junior team members or taking the lead on projects that require more intricate problem-solving. 🏅 Pursue Advanced Certifications 🏅 I know, I know. Experience matters more! But it's an uphill battle for me to secure a first interview for you without the certifications to back you up. And if you approach studying with a true intention to learn rather than another bullet point on your resume, they'll help with all of the above. #salesforce #salesforcecareers #SalesforceArchitect #SalesforceAdmins #awesomeadmins

Hi We're #Hiring, Position: Salesforce Lead Developer Location: Minnesota ,MN (Hybrid) Duration: Long Term Experience: 10+ years Visa: H1B,H4 & Citizens. Please share the resume at bharat@osairtech.com We are seeking candidates with expertise in: · Health Cloud (Experience 4+Yeras) · Service Cloud · Sales Cloud · LWC · Apex · Visualforce Job description: Provide a strong leadership presence to the customer business and technical teams as well as the development team. Generate an atmosphere of confidence and stability. Ensure that all levels of the customer believe “we got this!”. Critical thinking and problem solving are a critical component of success in these roles. Ability to be creative and think outside the box to provide the very best solution to the customer. This doesn’t always mean the most technically elegant solution. It always means the ability to help the customer derive business value from the solution as quickly as possible while maintaining super-high quality levels. Must be able to look at the “big picture” and the details to identify and address gaps. Must be able to motivate, encourage, and engage people; optimistic and positive attitude. Can’t be said enough, excellent verbal and written communication is critical to the success of the program and to the success of the individuals in these roles. Strong understanding and experience with the breadth of Salesforce functionality with an emphasis on Sales, Service, and Health Clouds. If candidates can't walk me through details of similar types of projects, the interview will quickly end. A solid working history of Agile methodologies and techniques is required. The customer uses aspects of SAFe. We need to take a practical approach to delivery utilizing Agile methodologies that easily maps to, and provides data to, more traditional waterfall-like business planning and operations. Prior experience working in the healthcare industry is a plus, but not strictly required for all the roles. Of the initial 3 listed below, at least 2 of them should have healthcare experience. We need these 3 roles to be individuals that are independent thinkers. Can take ownership of work and get things done with minimal outside leadership. These are the folks that I will be counting on to make sure our delivery capability is "next level" so I shouldn't have to invest a lot of hand-holding time.

I have a question to those who have hired in the #salesforce ecosystem: If you could concretely test certain Salesforce skills, what skills would you want tested? This can be for any role (admins, developers, architects, etc...)
