When Bill Cunningham opened his own gym in #AikenSC six years ago, it was important for him to connect with a local financial institution for his banking needs. Bill provides personal training for clients of all ages and abilities alongside trainer Vanessa Stone at Bill Cunningham Fitness, located at 816 East Pine Log Road. With prior lending experiences and personal connections, Bill chose to open a business account at SRP Federal Credit Union. “On every level, they support my business," he said. Bill said he has received "outstanding" member service from SRP, from quick branch visits to more in-depth business services. “[SRP Small Business Services Manager] Molly Jones has been particularly helpful for me on a lot of levels," said Bill. "She keeps track of my accounts and makes sure everything looks the way they’re supposed to look, and if they don’t, she contacts me, which is pretty amazing.” #GoodThingsAREHappeningatSRP! SRP Federal Credit Union and local educators celebrated over $1,000,000 in donations to Aiken County high schools through the SRP High School Affinity Debit Card program! The program began in 2018 to assist participating area high schools with funding. Each high school designs its own card, and every time the card is used, SRP donates funds to the school. Schools are free to use the funds any way they wish. The funds have helped cover needs like computers, team uniforms, teacher certifications, student incentives, and more. "Never in my history as a public-school administrator have we had such a lucrative partnership with any other outside organization, and the amount of funds raised here in such a short period of time is just phenomenal!" said Dr. Corey Murphy, Superintendent of Aiken County Public Schools. "This is a very tangible and great partnership.” Eric Jenkins, CEO of SRP Federal Credit Union, gave a special thanks to the 16,433 member-owners who have chosen an SRP High School Affinity Debit Card to benefit an Aiken County high school. “SRP FCU is committed to creating value for its member-owners and to enhancing the communities in which we are privileged to serve," said Jenkins. "So much so, that we write those priorities into our strategic initiatives. This more than $1 Million milestone is tangible, real-life proof of our commitment." #GoodThingsAREHappeningatSRP *Membership required and must qualify for a checking account. Fees may apply.
