All these women mentors, advocates, and others mentioned above are working hard on outreach, providing resources in person, professionally, and through other means like podcasts or audio rooms, and inviting speakers and guest speakers as resources. Some of the women mentors mentioned above are professors, CEOs, and leaders of various organizations. This is a testament that women can lead. I have collaborated with many of them. And I know! Suppose there are resources and women mentors like the women leaders I mentioned above. What barriers hinder the progress towards equal representation for women in STEAM disciplines, including black/brown women and their white counterparts? We would like your thoughts on these urgent questions, especially regarding resources and women mentors. Building the skills to read with your child helps set them up for success in their academic future. Start by being a resource and an example for your child. Still, read with them, and let them see you reading! But here are skills I like to advise clients to work with their child outside of their sessions/school. 1. Practice rhyming 2. Make sure they understand first letter sounds in words 3. Practicing letter blending so they have an understanding of how to do it on their own 4. Another good kindergarten tip: Use newlines liberally to give needed whitespace. Always stick to the post-template. Provide real value to them, by continuing on from whatever we were talking about in the preceeding sections. Finish with a call to action to engage with the post
