𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 1: 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐬 Use subnets within a single VNet for resource segmentation, with network security groups (NSGs) and application security groups (ASGs) controlling traffic. Enhance isolation with user-defined routes (UDRs) and network virtual appliances (NVAs). 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 2: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 Connect VNets using VNet peering, allowing seamless communication while maintaining security controls. Azure Firewall or NVAs can inspect traffic, simplifying UDR management. 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 3: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Utilize a hub and spoke model for complex environments, centralizing security in the hub VNet. CISO's jobs are getting more difficult due to these industry and technology challenges. You can only support so many security point solutions in your environment, and now, with cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, the complexity of these enterprise environments has become extremely difficult to secure, especially with limited resources.
