ST Engineering North America’s Post

The Women@Work (W@W) leadership team held their second bi-annual in-person meeting on August 6, 2024, thanks to the gracious hospitality of LeeBoy. The Women@Work initiative, led by Dianne Howells, President and CEO of Miltope Corporation, is a collaborative initiative that brings together representatives from across the ST Engineering North America business units with a mission is to empower women within the ST Engineering North America business units, with the objectives to enable women to achieve their full potential in their careers as individuals and as leaders and to help women meaningfully fulfill work-life commitments and integration in ST Engineering North America. Since its inception in April 2023, W@W has achieved great strides in bringing to the forefront matters that are important to women, in the form of resources, programs, and opportunities focused on health and wellness, family caregiving, and professional development. The meeting was opened by Mr. Shannon Seymour, CEO of LeeBoy who thanked the attendees for traveling from different parts of the US to attend the meeting and particularly thanked our special guest Mrs. Anita B. McBride McBride, wife of Mr. Tim McBride, President of ST Engineering North America US HQ. Mrs. McBride graced the audience with one hour of her time for an engaging dialogue that shared insight into the latest book that she co-authored, Remember the First Ladies: The Legacies of America’s History-Making Women, and included personal anecdotes from her extensive time serving within the White House. The webinar was very well attended by ST Engineering colleagues from the US, Europe and Singapore and included an interactive Q&A session. Afterward, Mrs. McBride generously provided book signing for the W@W leadership team members. Following the webinar, the W@W leadership team was given a tour of the LeeBoy facility, where they learned about the intricacies of asphalt paving. The day concluded with an insightful training session led by Alora Perkins Fisher, JD VP, Administration (Human Resources, Legal, Contracts) on "Extreme Ownership," providing valuable leadership insights for the team. The Women@Work initiative continues to be a driving force in empowering women at ST Engineering in North America, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. As we move forward, we are committed to creating opportunities for growth, development, and collaboration among our female employees. #STEngineering #Womenempowerment
