At FCS Finland, we know that airlines spend vast resources every day keeping aircraft in the air with minimal downtime. A significant challenge in achieving this is the extended engine cooldown periods, often leading to hours of delay before maintenance can even begin. In our recent publication in the Aerospace Defense Review, we dive into how our patented cooling systems, AFC-22 and AFC-23 Hybrid, are addressing this global issue. By dramatically reducing engine cooldown times, our solutions help airlines and MROs worldwide cut downtime by up to 8 hours, boosting operational efficiency and saving costs. 🌍✈️ Discover how our innovative systems are empowering the world’s leading airlines to optimize their maintenance workflows and enhance fleet performance. 🔗 Link to read publication: https://lnkd.in/dv47Yw2F #Aviation #MRO #Aerospace #AircraftMaintenance #Innovation #Efficiency #FCSFinland #AviationTechnology

50 Airframes Ordered: The State Of The Airbus A350F In 2024 In July 2021, #Airbus announced that it would be offering a new purpose-built, next-generation freighter in the form of the #A350F. The offering stands out as the only freighter to have a composite airframe - one that promises to offer more range, volume, and payload than the popular #777F. With entry into service now delayed by a few months, the program has been slowly picking up orders. The jet is slightly behind its #Boeing 777X rival in terms of sales but is still projected to enter service earlier. So what is the latest news concerning the Airbus A350F? A recent Government Accountability Office report highlights that creativity is exactly what operators and MRO providers are demonstrating to ensure they can complete maintenance visits. While the report focused largely on new-aircraft production, feedback spilled into the MRO world. With industry leaders gathering at Aviation Week Network’s MRO Americas conference in Chicago this week, there will certainly be discussions on how some OEMs could use a lesson or two in creativity from their #MRO customers. Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-powered Airbus A320neo Family operations in Russia? This is a topic I've addressed speculatively a few times in recent months, but the latest data available in Cirium's Fleets Analyzer shows a dramatic reduction in utilisation by S7 Airlines during January as it presumably struggles to secure sufficient engine parts to keep its 39-strong fleet of A320/A321neos airworthy. Only 16 of those aircraft saw revenue service in January, compared with 25 the previous month, while total hours and cycles flown have roughly halved month-on-month and are down approximately three quarters compared with the same month a year earlier. S7 is the only Russian operator of GTF-powered A320neos, while Aeroflot, Nordwind Airlines, Smartavia and Ural Airlines operate 21 CFM Leap-powered A320neos between them, with three in storage. Previous-generation A320ceo Family and CFM56-powered 737 models make up the bulk of Russia's western-built single-aisle inventory and these in-service fleets have remained relatively stable over the past couple of years at approaching 200 units apiece, suggesting they are less challenging to maintain in the face of international sanctions. #cirium #aerospace #russia
