Yes, it’s true - there’s a national day dedicated to underwear! While National Underwear Day was created to celebrate underwear and the freedom of self-expression that comes with wearing it, we are using it as a day to not only celebrate and be grateful for underwear--but also to bring awareness that not everyone has access to it. Our mission is to provide children with access to new underwear for each day of the week. 1 in 3 kids in MA experience clothing insecurity, and underwear insecurity is even worse because you cannot donate used underwear--it needs to be new for hygienic and lawful purposes. Therefore, underwear is one of the most needed but least donated items to shelters and youth-focused organizations. Cocotree Kids was created to fill this need and in just 3 years has distributed over 215,000 pairs of underwear to 30,000 kids across the state! Our goal to celebrate this fun holiday is to raise $5,000, which will provide over 1,400 kids with 10,000 pairs of underwear. Please help us spread the word--and Happy Undies Day! Donate today to help us reach our goal: https://lnkd.in/ehRiKrJs #bostonnonprofit #kidsnonprofit #metrowestnonprofit #makeadifference #bostonma #manonprofit #endclothinginsecurity

During National Diaper Need Awareness Week (September 23 – 29) we're amplifying our efforts to end diaper insecurity and sharing how the Good+ network and community can join us. Here's a snapshot of our efforts: -We’ve donated over 36 million diapers since 2001. -We are a proud member of the National Diaper Bank Network, working to find long-term solutions to diaper need. -This year, we advocated with our NDBN partners to secure $1.5M in state funding to address diaper need across New York State. -We’re collaborating with Coterie to provide a year’s supply of diapers for families through the Coterie Diaper Share Program. What you can do: Make a donation to support our efforts in ending diaper need. Mail unused diapers to our NYC or LA warehouses⎯Coterie will cover shipping costs through 2025. Having assisted Scott and the board with their strategic planning process, I know these resources will be used effectively
We extend a huge thank you to Assistance League of Atlanta, which has recently partnered with 3Keys to donate essential items for our residents. This partnership means that our residents—many of whom arrive with little to nothing more than the clothes they are wearing—will receive welcome kits with new bedding, shower shoes, pots and pans, laundry pods, towels, and much more. Assistance League of Atlanta is also assisting with our activities program by donating supplies that enable us to continue offering meaningful activities for our residents. Partnerships like this are critical in helping us support our residents as they transition from homelessness to stability. #endhomelessness #nonprofitpartnerships

🧹 Controlling some of the chaos and clutter around us can help create a more serene environment. Decide what to keep, what to sell (maybe a yard sale to benefit Good Grief??), and what to donate. #SelfCareSaturday #GoodGriefNJ #GriefSupport #YardSale #GarageSale #Declutter

A busy summer has resulted in a dip in food donations at local food banks and community fridges. Can your business help replenish stocks? There are lots of ways your business can help: 🥫Organise a food collection at your workplace, or encourage your colleagues to make donations at their local supermarket. You can find your nearest food bank or support service on the Access to Food Map App: https://lnkd.in/eXZKp4_M 💵 Consider making a charitable donation to your local food support project, or arrange a collection. The money will be spent on the items most in need. 🥪If you are a local restaurant, cafe or food producer, you may have surplus food that you can donate. There are community fridges across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole that can come and collect - our Map App has a list. Our partners help families and individuals from all walks of life, many who are experiencing short term food insecurity due to a change in circumstance, for example illness, job loss or increase in rent/mortgage payments. Any help you can provide is much appreciated.

There are many ways to help hungry people, depending on your resources and location. Here are some ideas: 1. *Donate to food banks*: Food banks collect and distribute food to those in need. You can search for food banks in your area and donate non-perishable items or funds. 2. *Volunteer at a soup kitchen*: Soup kitchens provide meals for people who are struggling to afford food. You can volunteer your time to help serve meals or prepare food. 3. *Support food-related charities*: Consider donating to organizations that work to address hunger and food insecurity, such as Feeding America or the World Food Programme. 4. *Offer to buy groceries or meals*: If you know someone who is struggling to afford food, offer to buy them groceries or meals. 5. *Advocate for policies that address hunger*: You can contact your local representatives and express support for policies that address hunger

When I joined Grace & Green in 2022 as Head of Growth, my very first presentation to the Board was about how we took what had been created in Period Dignity and use this to have a much wider impact on both the business and the world of work. How would we make Period Dignity the market leader (with very little money to spend to do so)? I don't have enough space in this post to work through exactly what I set out in that meeting, however it boiled down to: ✌ Understanding the impact we want to have: It's always been about more than supplying products - Education is woven into the threads of Period Dignity. To achieve period dignity we need access to information, availability of products and acceptance within workplace culture - we designed our offering and continue to develop everything we do around these pillars. This was summed up perfectly by a client (John) who said "Grace & Green don't just supply a product, they create a CULTURE". Exactly John. ✌ Remember who we are and why we are doing it: Unsurprisingly, the workplace space has and is becoming more competitive. This is excellent news, as more businesses embrace free period care as a basic right, and especially comforting how many are choosing a more sustainable providers. As now Chief Commercial Officer, it's also mildly stressful (mildly 🙃 ). However, dignity continues to be about more than avoiding getting caught short, it's about embracing inclusivity and supporting our Members to deliver dignity for all, no matter of age, gender identity, or how they experience their period. There's still a long way to go, and we've got SO much more coming here... ✌ Treat every customer like they are absolutely making our day. This is perhaps a small business mindset, or when many of the team have done almost every job in the company. We all remember the THRILL of winning our first big contract, the DELIGHT of walking into a shop and seeing our products on shelf, or randomly walking into the bathroom BEAMING seeing our products. We don't take for granted the fact we get to be in people's everyday. (For me this has never worn off, my heart still skips a little when I process an order, receive a tender award notice, or see a customer talking about us on socials.) Particularly grateful for our team for supporting our phenomenal YOY 120% growth, for challenging, pushing our vision and positioning, and for being excellent. I'm incredibly proud of what we and our members are doing to drive inclusivity, awareness and dignity within their workplaces and educational establishments. I can't wait to see what the next two years can hold. Happy Birthday Period Dignity. x
Two years of Period Dignity 🎉 It's #WorldMenstrualHygieneDay and we're celebrating two years of making periods dignified and accessible for everyone. Since launching, our Period Dignity scheme has helped over 400 businesses, schools and public institutions provide sustainable period products to those who need them most. Together we've: ❋ Supplied 9 million free-to-access sustainable period products ❋ Delivered 9,800+ free period packs to those who need them in partnership with local councils ❋ Stocked 60+ universities and schools with Grace & Green products ❋ Donated £97,000 worth of period products to charitable organisations, including local food banks, in 2023 alone. Thank you to our community and incredible partners and supporters for making helping us make a difference. Check out our visits to New Cut Coffee, BIMM University, OVO, Watershed, and Wiper and True. Thank you Honeywell Bakes for our beautiful birthday biscuits.
