Pinch point injuries pose a significant challenge during hydraulic torquing. The region between the slogging spanner and the reacting nut also creates a pinch point area in hydraulic torquing. To mitigate this safety hazard, the use of a backup wrench is crucial. Let's explore the benefits of using a Backup Wrench: 1) Hammer-free operation eliminates finger injuries. 2) The locking T-screw enables the operator to keep hands clear of the Backup Wrench during torquing, thereby reducing pinch point injuries. 3) Safely backing up torque applications with poor visibility, especially on the rear side of the flange closer to the platform, can be done. 4) Using a Backup Wrench helps prevent drop-downs while removing the slogging spanner by hammering. 5) Quick installation and removal improves productivity.

It can't be understated how dangerous a moving belt is. ALWAYS lockout/tagout before performing any maintenance and ALWAYS be aware of the dangers of moving belts. Additionally, spillage is much more than a nuisance. When personnel are responsible for cleaning up rogue material they are working harder and at greater risk of injury. Spillage largely occurs due to faulty systems or a lack of attention. Maintaining your conveyors is not only investing in process efficiency, it's investing in the safety of those around you. https://lnkd.in/gcu2UsEE
