My next go-to practice for managing energy and maintaining focus amid intense work cycles is sharing the weight. To do that, we all need skilled, supportive, and collaborative team members to lean on—and as leaders, it’s our responsibility to build the right team. Especially when engaged in a corporate shift as big as the one PMI is on with its transition to a #smoke-free future, it helps to view the necessary work as a marathon that requires high-intensity bursts of activity followed by slower periods of maintenance and reflection. Sometimes we need to sprint, other times it’s better to jog. With that in mind, when building a team, I look for who’s going to be the water passer, who’s going to be in the cheering crowd, who’s running beside me, and who is setting the pace running in front of me. Ultimately, to whom can I pass the baton when I’m mentally exhausted? Investing in building the right team is essential to successfully managing the frenetic pace of work. #Leadership #TeamBuilding #Collaboration #ManageEnergy #MaintainFocus
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Absolutely love this post ! I couldn’t agree more! Leveraging your people talent appropriately is key to maintaining a highly engaged and performing team! A team that you can truly count on so that you can all stay healthy and happy for the journey! As we work on fundamentally transforming our business, this becomes increasingly important. People leaders, now more then ever, need to focus on prioritizing this! Nicely written Stacey Kennedy As usual 😉
Having the right people at the right position is absolutely Mandatory for sustainable success within an organisation!

10moWell said. Reminds me of the bus concept, when building a team. Get the right people on the bus and the right people in the key seats and let them ride! #highperformanceteams
