Am not sure if I should post this, pretty #McBusted after yesterday. It'll probably embarrass Anna Rose but am sure she is used to my antics. What am I going on about - well, have just finished a coaching series with Anna. These are several sessions, spread over a few months, but we've had more sessions, as I missed a couple (had good reason - honest 😊) I have given a recommendation, but thought I'd post it here as well. Before I do so, I should say, who needs work coaching? Well, I never thought me. Ever. Am not sure why not. Blokeishness. Embarrassment. Am not sure. But a little while back, I recall chatting to Chris Bending in a 1:1 and saying some mad stuff. Chris says, "look for someone to chat to. It will help". "Nah", I said, "no one will get it and I don't just want to chat to anyone...." and then up pops Anna, who I believe Chris already knew from some SOLACE thing or the other. So, what's all the fuss? I wholeheartedly recommend Anna as a work coach. Her expertise and approach have had a significant impact on my professional growth. Why? Easy to Speak To: Anna is approachable and empathetic. She creates a comfortable environment where I felt very free to express my thoughts and concerns. Knowledgeable: Anna’s depth of knowledge in various areas, including time management, leadership, and personal development, is impressive. But, and this is THE thing, she's a planner too, so can wrap all of this 'good stuff' around running a LPA. Her insights have been invaluable. Firm Where Required: Anna strikes a balance between being supportive and assertive. When necessary, she provides constructive feedback and encourages accountability. Reflective Outcomes: Thanks to Anna’s guidance, I’ve become more reflective. I now take time to analyse my actions, learn from mistakes, and make informed decisions. Time Management: Anna’s strategies have helped me protect my time better. I prioritise tasks effectively and avoid unnecessary distractions. I don't just jump in. I'll think about when I can do tasks, what woks for me, and will set out timelines. People have noticed this difference. Understanding Flaws: Anna encourages self-awareness. I’ve learned to recognise my strengths and weaknesses, leading to personal and professional growth. Delegation Skills: Anna’s coaching has empowered me to delegate tasks efficiently. I trust my team more and distribute responsibilities effectively. Anna isn't just a coach; she’s a mentor who genuinely cares about her clients’ success. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking professional development and growth. As I have said, this is all delivered with specialist LPA and LGov insights. She knows your pressures (and has often been there before you) so can help get to the bottom of things. I found myself laughing and joking, but also talking really very seriously. If you are fortunate enough to get onto a coaching series with Anna, trust me, it will be very rewarding!
Great piece, as always Stacey Robins . I have the luck to meet with Anna Rose regularly. She is a great leader, all round insightful individual and genuinely decent person. I coach/mentor others, within and outside The Planning Inspectorate, and have a coach myself. That independent feedback and advice is indispensable. It's a brave and bold decision for anyone in any role.
Couldn’t agree more stacey. I’ve been working with Anna this year too and it’s been amazing.
absolutely agree - she did wonders for me and my confidence - she’s a superstar, creating superstars!
Anna Rose is amazing at everything she turns her hand to, I'm not at all surprised she is a great coach and mentor
Glad you’ve seen the light Stacey Robins and so generous of you to provide a wonderful recommendation for Anna Rose

3moWow Stacey Robins that's quite the recommendation! Thank you. Luckily for me I love coaching and mentoring and it's a pleasure and privilege to do this as part of my job.
