TL:DR I've built a new tool! This time I made something to simplify posting a thread on X. Just paste a long text in the text area, select the separator trail, et voilà! You have it sliced into smaller texts within the characters limit for posts (aka tweets). And it has PWA capabilities too! (You can install it on your device for quick access). Check it out on https://lnkd.in/d7b_Btvt (threadmaker .netlify .app) and let me know if you use it. --- Long version: After almost a year of working 100% focused on making my IT Support business grow, I feel like I left programming sitting aside for too long. During this time, though, I learned a lot about project management, processes, documentation, leadership, and sharing my knowledge with my teammates and customers making Wikis, video tutorials, etc. So this year I set a goal of releasing at least 4 side projects I've been planning for a long time. This one was the first, the simplest, the warmup. It was fun learning about 'new' CSS stuff like the :has pseudoselector, or nested rules (well, this was something similar to Sass). The next step is to update my Vue.js skills and for that, I already have the wireframes of my next product. Stay tuned!

🎓 Breaking Free from Tutorial Hell: My Journey and Tips for Aspiring Developers What is Tutorial Hell? When I embarked on my coding journey, I found myself in a familiar place: Tutorial Hell. It's that sticky web where you binge-watch YouTube tutorials, follow along, and yet struggle to create anything independently. Sound familiar? 🕸️ My Experience: I am a newbie programmer. I devoured tutorials, built a restaurant page, animated a product landing page, and even splurged on JavaScript courses. But when I faced a blank code editor, panic set in. I realized I'd been consuming content without a game plan. 🙇♂️ How to Escape Tutorial Hell: 5 Steps 1. Think First: Before diving into a tutorial, pause. Define the project's basic components. For instance, if you're building a random background color changer, outline your approach. 2. Try Solo: Make mistakes! Code a bit on your own before watching the video. It's okay; learning involves errors. 3. Pause & Reflect: While watching, pause periodically. Ask questions. Google is your trusty sidekick. 4. Break It: Take the finished project and intentionally break parts. Learn from those error messages. 5. Rebuild Your Way: Now, rebuild the project from scratch, but in your style. This tests your understanding. The End Goal Remember, tutorials are tools—not crutches. Our goal? To build projects independently. So, let's break free, one step at a time! #coding #programming #developerlife #tutorialhell #learnprogramming Inspired by my own journey and the countless cups of virtual coffee shared with fellow learners.☕

🚀 **Project Milestone: Day 75/100 of Project-Based Learning Extravaganza! 🎉** Today, I'm thrilled to unveil a project that captures the essence of visual creativity! 📸🌟 Behold, the "Take Screenshot with JS and Download Image" tool, a testament to the power of JavaScript in bringing innovation to web development. Let's explore the magic without diving into the code specifics! ✨👩💻 📷 **Project Showcase: Screenshot & Download Image** 🚀 **Capture the Moment:** With a simple click of the "Capture" button, this project allows users to snap a screenshot of a designated container on the web page. It's a delightful way to freeze a moment, be it a beautifully designed section or an interactive element. 🌐 **Dynamic Rendering:** The captured screenshot is dynamically rendered in a preview container, giving users an instant visual of what they've captured. The seamless integration of the `html2canvas` library ensures accurate representation. 📥 **Download on Demand:** Taking it a step further, users can download their captured masterpiece with another click! The "Download" button ensures a smooth and quick process, allowing users to keep their snapshots for future reference or sharing. 🌟 **Why it Matters:** 🎨 **Visual Creativity Unleashed:** This project isn't just about code; it's about unleashing visual creativity on the web. It empowers users to document and share their digital experiences with a personal touch. 🚀 **Practical Applications:** The ability to take screenshots and download images has practical applications in various domains, from web development and design testing to creating dynamic presentations. 🎓 **Learning by Doing:** Day 75 marks another chapter in my learning journey. This project exemplifies the "learn by doing" philosophy, where hands-on experience enriches understanding and creativity in the world of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. #projectbasedlearning #html5 #css3 #javascriptlearning #webdevelopmentjourney #innovationincode #visualcreativity #ScreenshotTool #learningjourney #codemagic #100daysofcodechallenge

I have spoken way too much about wanting to build a learning plattform over the years...but I finally actually did it! It was a ton of work, mainly because it took me many attempts to figure out a unique learning method, that might add something to all the amazing learning resources that are already out there. If you are curious and maybe want to brush up on your Tailwind CSS skills, give it a try at https://uibasics.dev. The first two levels are free. And if you like it, consider giving me an upvote on Product Hunt so others might find it there as well: https://lnkd.in/e6QPS7Be
