𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬 When it comes to building effective teams, understanding and aligning values is crucial. This could be: 🔍 Defining Team Vision: The type of team a manager wants to create reflects their core values. For instance, some managers are driven by metrics, focusing on data and performance indicators to showcase the team's value. 💡 Technical Excellence: Technical managers prioritise building strong, skilled teams to develop exceptional products. Their value lies in innovation and technical prowess, aiming to push boundaries and deliver high-quality outcomes. 🤝 People-First Approach: There are managers who believe in hiring for character and cultural fit first, and technical skills second. They value soft skills, such as communication, empathy, and collaboration, as these qualities often lead to a more harmonious and productive work environment. In summary, whether a manager is metrics-driven, technically focused, or people-first, the foundation of successful hiring lies in clearly identifying and communicating their values. #hiring #devops #manchester #values

Many incredibly talented people were let go from Cruise today. I came to Cruise for the motivation of a true "get me out of bed in the morning" mission-- to save lives on the road with technology-- but I ended up staying and finding the most fulfillment in the relationships I developed and the things I learned from my colleagues. Cruise sets a high bar for talent. While I was fortunately not impacted at this time, many colleagues were. If you are hiring in process excellence, technical writing, continuous improvement, biz ops, operations management, strategy, technical operations, or program management to name a few, please let me know. #hiring #operationsexcellence #fleetmanagement #operations

CTO @Yavar.AI | Helping You Sky Rocket Your Business with AI | Sharing Insights On AL, ML, Cyber Security, & Leadership
After years as a CTO, I've unlocked the secret to successful hiring! I focus on just three key attributes: Character, Attitude, and Reliability. With these pillars in place, anything else can be cultivated through training. Here's how: 1. Character: Integrity is our currency. We value ethics and a strong moral compass. It's not just about the job; it's about how you get there. 2. Attitude: Positivity fuels progress. We seek individuals with a growth mindset and an unyielding can-do attitude. Challenges are opportunities, and enthusiasm is our driving force. 3. Reliability: Dependability is our backbone. Meeting deadlines, clear communication, and consistent results are non-negotiable. At workplace, reliability isn't an option; it's our standard. What are your views on this ? do let me know in the comments below. #hiring #positiveattitude #opportunity #reliability

How many people would leave their current job to join another company that was paying the same or less money? Not many! Yet this is what many companies are asking the Product Managers that they want to hire to do. Product Managers who are currently making $150k a year and are being approached about the same level of job for $120k-$130k are reluctant to move. $80k-$120k for a Senior Product Manager in Colorado? $125k-$150k for a Principal Product Manager in New York? $160k-$175k for a Director of Product Management in California? These are some of the pay ranges that are being advertised by companies today and I wonder if they have even appraised the market to understand what needs to be offered to not only attract talent but retain these employees. PMs at any level are unlikely to move if the company they are working for is paying them well, providing career growth opportunities and job security. And if a company can't pay competitively, there has to be a significant upside for them to consider a move(exceptional career growth, job security, better alignment on mission/purpose). #hiring #recruitment #productmanagement

Demand for Senior and Principal level Product Managers remains high and are some of the most sought-after for the last 12 months. In addition to the above, Individuals with AI, Growth, GTM, domain expertise, and strong Product Management experience are also in demand and command higher salaries. We cover Product Manager to Chief Product Officer level searches for companies across the USA and are engaged for Senior level IC searches more than any other. Why? Most Senior or Principal level Product Managers have a breadth of skills which means companies can rely on these hires to hit the ground running quicker and reduce the need for product leadership hierarchy (reducing the need for group/lead/director level hires). With more and more companies running leaner teams these types of hires are highly desirable but not easy to come by. I expect we'll see a continuation of this throughout 2024. What are your thoughts on the Product Management job market? #hiring #recruitment #productmanagement
