⭐️ TIP TUESDAY ⭐️ Tell your candidates no. Did the hiring team not request an interview? Tell them. Did they not pass a required assessment for the role? Tell them. Do they not have a specific system that is required for the position? Tell them. As much as I hate telling candidates they have been rejected or not moving on to the next round, they almost always thank me for the follow up. Nothing is worst than holding out hope on a role that has already been filled, without any sort of update or follow up from your recruiter. No matter how busy you may be with recruiting or staffing, an update takes all of 2 minutes to call or email. Unless you are Casper and your human form takes shape of Devon Sawa, let's end the ghosting please. #tiptuesday #resume #interview #application #staffing #recruiting #nowhiring #joboffer

Think you're getting a really good deal on your recruiter? Think again The lower the price, the higher the volumes they need to do Things will get missed. They won't spend as long screening or assessing candidates, or managing your brand and story in the market So you'll get more rubbish CV's and spend more time interviewing people who aren't right Are you really getting a deal by scraping that extra couple of percent? Or have you just bagged yourself more time dealing with recruiters and irrelevant candidates 😄

An executive recruiter initiated contact with one of my SVP clients to see if he was interested in a role at their company. He definitely was. The recruiter asked for some dates to schedule the interview, and then closed the email with…. “I’m promising that I won’t vanish on you.” It was a refreshing acknowledgment from a recruiter about the broken system for job candidates.
