Spoiler alert: The insights I have to share aren't necessarily going to be groundbreaking, or original for the most part. Sorry for the anti-climax but let's be honest, if you are doom scrolling LinkedIn for excitement on the Saturday morning before Christmas then I'm probably a little sad for you to be honest, and I'm going to say you probably need to get out and get some fresh air. Anyway, I compete in powerlifting. It's a hobby sport and I'm well aware no one really cares but I enjoy it for the challenge and the community and I'm relatively good at it. I've held the record for the biggest Push-Pull Total (bench press and deadlift) ever by an Australian across all federations in my old and crusty masters age and weight category along with a couple of world records and multiple Australian records in the federation I compete with. Sidenote: Can someone hook me up with an Ibuprofen sponsor? As a special Christmas present to you, I'm going to share the super secret tips I developed over more than a dozen years of competing alongside some of the strongest powerlifters in the world and that Personal trainers will hate me for sharing. Sharing these elite lethal-level secrets will definitely 100% probably maybe get me disowned from commercial gyms. And I'm going to give you them for free. Selling these would get me into trouble. (nothing to do with me not being a qualified Personal Trainer I promise.) Screenshot before I change my mind. OK, here you go....... 1. Consistently doing things well. 2. Always looking to improve. 3. Time. I'm going to be honest I feel like I may have overdone it with the spammy sales pitch here🤔🤣 The point is, that anyone could do what I do, both in powerlifting and in the professional world. I have no secrets, I know how to do the basics well and consistently. I know how it's more important to listen and ask "why" than it is to try and fit one-size-fits-all solutions to problems that you might not even have. There's a bit more to it than that. Still, really when it comes down to it, I want to help people do the basics so well that when the proverbial hits the fan you are able to use innovation and creativity to take advantage of the opportunities that chaos brings. #adhd #audhd #neurodiversity #leadership #inclusion #motivation #sbmc #riskanalysis #compliance #compliancemanagement #businessprocessimprovement #continuousimprovement #corevalues #businessvalues #rootcauseanalysis #5whys #organisationalculture Specialised BMC

Thought of The Day (11/2): I canceled a local membership to an indoor cycling business this morning at 5:29 AM. The reason, as I told them politely, “I refuse to do business with someone who makes it difficult for me to be their customer.” No gripes. No raised voice. And, I am definitely not losing my shit on an hourly employee just trying to do their job. If I am not being unreasonable and courteous, and you make me jump through hoops to do anything, I will just go find someone who makes it easy to do business. That is why you lose a deal or a customer. #friction #sales #customerservice

Using a fitness routine analogy on how to successfully reach your goals as a recruiter is so smart Jeff Tryzbiak! As someone that blocks an hour on her calendar each day to hit the gym, I can really relate to this blog. I am old school in my goal setting and following - I find that using pen and paper, and crossing off goals as I reach them, drives me to work harder in both my recruiting business and my fitness routines. The satisfaction I get from crossing things off my list is second to none! #recruiter #recruiting #fitness #goalsetting
In this #blog, Senior Recruiting Partner Jeff Tryzbiak discusses the parallels between successful talent #recruiting and daily #fitness #routines: https://ow.ly/al8I50RuenE #GoodwinRecruiting #success #tips #staffing #career

🏆 Teamwork Behind the Scenes: Lessons from Fencing & Business 🏆 This past weekend, my family and I were at a fencing tournament. My son and daughter were competing, my dynamic wife stepped in as coach for the weekend, and I took on the roles of being their bag man, photographer/videographer, and equipment manager—whatever it took to keep things running smoothly! 🎒📸🤺 This experience reflects what goes on in life, sports, entertainment, healthcare, and all business industries. Whether it’s customers coming into a business office or spectators watching a game, the people working behind the scenes—our support staff—are the reason things flow so well. 🙌 💡 Be a star in your role, even if you’re not the main attraction or revenue generator. Your efforts and responsibilities may not always be easy, but you’re helping to keep the ship flowing and going. 🚢 Appreciating people’s roles can do wonders for work culture and mental health, both in the workplace and in sports. People want to feel seen and appreciated, and when that happens, everyone performs better. At the end of the day, it’s teamwork that makes the dream work. 💼🤝 #Teamwork #MentalHealth #Business #Fencers #Fencing #Sports #Athletes #PrivatePractice #Supportstaff #Officestaff #Workplacementalhealth
