I chatted with Mia Murphy, co-founder and CRO at Tontine, and she has a story to tell about the #sales journey in the #startup world! Mia went from being an #SDR to co-founding Tontine, navigating through common hurdles startups face in sales. The real kicker? The outsourcing dilemma. It's tempting, especially when budgets are tight, but Mia's early experiences show it's a bit of a double-edged sword. Sure, it can temporarily relieve, but it risks severing founders' vital connection with their product's sales narrative. This conversation reaffirmed something I've long believed: Sales isn't just a part of the startup journey; it's the lifeline. It's not about having the bandwidth; it's about making it the heart of your business's growth. Mia's story perfectly illustrates the shift from fear to mastery in sales, showcasing the incredible growth that comes from genuinely embracing and internalizing your #SalesProcess. For all you founders out there, let Mia's journey inspire you. Understand your sales, own it, and watch your startup grow. Listen to the full #podcast episode here: https://hubs.ly/Q02lYPg80

The interviewer becomes the interviewee... I had the pleasure of joining Roland Siebelink on the Midstage Startup Momentum podcast. I was glad to turn the mic around and answer questions such as: ⚡ What does product-market fit actually look like for startups? ⚡ Why product-market-fit is an ongoing journey rather than a destination. ⚡ How product-market fit is different for B2B and B2C. ⚡ Why product marketing is a critical part of early startup success. ⚡ The importance of founders understanding their organic growth. ⚡ The ideal timeline and situation for startups to work with a fractional CMO. 🎧 Listen to the Midstage Startup Momentum podcast wherever you love to listen. 🎧 👉 If you are a founder approaching the "mid-stage" of your startup journey, I highly recommend you connect with Roland and check out the Midstage Institute. #productmarketfit #startups #fractionalcmo

Guiding Female Entrepreneurs to Embrace Their Wildness, Honor Their Desires, and Navigate Life’s Dualities for Authentic, Thriving Businesses.
The more I contemplate about it I do think bootstrapping is more for younger entrepreneurs for two main reasons: - they have it more difficult to get the right investors in early as they lack experience and authority/credibility from investors point of view, but - also ‘the ego’ plays a role, with some more than with others of course, not willing to give a way too much of the company you give so much to. One of those drivers for the ego, is about the strong identification with your business idea. Especially if it is one of your first entrepreneurial adventures - words like dream company, my baby, my life’s mission are hints. It gets super interesting when you can disconnected yourself from the outcome, that it has no role in your emotional state of being and with that your decision making. What do you think?

Is the world changing or are less and less startups/scale-ups bootstrapping? Last week a business partner of mine, he is 50 years old by the way ;) said the following: “Bootstrapping is for young entrepreneurs” He always bootstrapped his companies in his younger years but stopped doing it and now always find the right financial partners to grow his companies. Do you agree? If you want to hear my experience about my biggest bootstrapping adventure in my younger years listen to our podcast. https://lnkd.in/dvu8Bp25 #startuplife #founderstories #bootstrapping #startupfunding
