Op-Ed: Danish Companies Can Push Denmark's Country Overshoot Day 🇩🇰 On March 16, we Danes used our share of the planet's natural resources for 2024. The rest of the year we use more resources than the Earth can regenerate in one year. If everyone lived like us in Denmark, we would use more than four globes 🌍🌍🌍🌍 We need to change that. We know that Danish companies are part of the solution – and so is an increased and more widespread use of circular design ♻️ Read more from our CEO, Martin Delfer, below and get some tips on how to get started with circular design👇 #design #overshootday #circularity #circulardesign #dkpol #dkgreen

Imagine a world where every soda bottle finds a new life as a flowerpot, or where our oceans shimmer without a plastic sheen. It's not just a dream—it's a choice we make every day. Helping organisations & individuals to give nature a boost. Rewilding here in the UK, providing nature-based solutions for those who want to invest in carbon mitigation & biodiversity restoration
What if more things had a dual purpose? I had the absolute pleasure to meet with Dawn O'Keefe last week at Shine Workspace (Leeds), and what an amazing space it is! Nestled within Harehills, you would be forgiven for not coming across it yet, but you won't be forgiven if you don't know take the time to go and see what Dawn and Todd are doing. With purpose embedded into their mission, they are focused on supporting young children and women in the local area and further afield to thrive, all whilst supporting the local economy. They really are focused on delivering many purpose-led missions in conjunction with one another, allowing different streams to enhance others. The example I'm sharing below is a bike shed that is also a greenhouse. What a simple concept! Why haven't I come across this before, and why isn't everyone doing this? I'm delighted to store my bike next to some tomato plants, and I hope we can see more simple but effective design like this throughout our transition towards a more sustainable world. #purpose #design #sustainability #growfood #cycle

I help green leaders influence communities to change at scale 🌏 | Behavior + gamification designer 🧠 | Environmental engineer 🌱 | TEDx speaker
When I was 23, I shared an office space with a low-key futurist named Steve who had an email footer that said SAY NO TO POVERTY OF THE IMAGINATION. In capitals. I thought this was way cool. I never forgot it. We can only build and design what we can first imagine. If you can't imagine it, you can't build it. We need to take the creative process of imagining new deeply ecologically thriving worlds seriously. Not only is it fun, it's necessary for the technical problem-solving that lies before us. Think of the amazing things we're seeing: 🦌 Green living overpasses that let animals cross freeways 🌳 Apartment towers covered in thousands of trees ☀️ Major scale 100% solar-powered electricity grids 🍅 Vertical urban farms in major cities 🤖 Robots that tend to living green walls These are all real projects that exist NOW because someone imagined an idea, and spread this idea to lots of other people, and those people's collective imaginations were strong enough to battle through the many real-life hurdles that any project like this faces to come to life. The imagination is powerful like that. Once it takes hold, it has a power of its own and nothing can stop its progress. This indescribable force - this energy of "a non-negotiable must" to bring your idea to life - this IS the power of evolution manifesting through us. It's our duty to align with it and serve its purpose for the good of all. Nothing has energized me more as an environmentalist than imagining the positive ecotopia future. In fun ways, serious ways, data-driven ways, and technical ways. And it's a thrill now to be able to so easily share what's been in my head visually for so long with the help of AI. This is from the 2024 Positive Eco Futures Wall Calendar OUT NOW: 🌿 USA & Canada: https://lnkd.in/exug7Jaj 🌿 Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Oceania: https://lnkd.in/eSwnCtbG Nine positive eco-futures artworks available as matte prints, framed, wood prints, brushed aluminum, organic t-shirts, hoodies, and kids. Elevating Brands Sustainably | The Conscious Creator | Eco-Friendly Creative for Business Growth | Saving the World One Brand at a Time
Celebrating 9 Years of Sustainable Design: The bigger creative Manifesto 🌟 As I celebrate 9 years in business this week, I want to share our first-ever design manifesto, inspired by Kezia Israel, MBA 🔥❤️ insights on brand identity and the importance a manifesto is to your messaging. At Project Blue Sky Marc O'Brien mentioned how we label consumers/customers, and how he doesn't use those terms. This manifesto embodies our commitment to sustainability, transparency, and empowerment. I’m excited to share it with you and would love your thoughts. Plus, there’s a sneak peek at a future project I’m working on! 🌟 The Importance of a Manifesto: Our manifesto shapes our identity and guides our partnerships and collaborations. It reflects our commitment to eco-conscious thought, clarity through transparency, and empowerment through symbiosis. By sharing our manifesto, we aim to inspire sustainable practices and invite others to join our mission. 🌿 Our Journey Towards Sustainability: Since 2017, we’ve been committed to sustainability, starting with our first sustainable client. We digitized their business process, reducing waste and improving efficiency. This experience inspired us to encourage other businesses to adopt eco-friendly practices. 🌍 Vision for the Future: We aim to integrate diverse voices and make sustainable development the norm. Our Alter Ego Discovery program and Project Infinity are steps towards this goal. 🚀 Community Engagement and Impact: Community is at our core. We actively participate in climate-focused groups, engage on social media, and will be host live AMA sessions soon. Collective action is essential to tackle environmental challenges. 🤝 Unique Approach and Cultural Values: Our branding comic shop creates eco-heroes and tells their stories in comic form, empowering partners. 🎨 The bggr cr8v Manifesto: “Our manifesto is a comprehensive declaration of our values, vision, and commitment to sustainability. It serves as a blueprint for our future endeavors. Join us in our mission to create a sustainable and equitable world.” I believe in the power of collective action and shared values. Let’s work together to embody these principles in our daily lives and business practices. What values drive your mission? Share your thoughts and join the conversation! you can read our full manifest at the link in the comments. #EcoHero #Sustainability #ClimateAction #GreenLiving #IndigenousWisdom #SevenGenerations #EnvironmentalStewardship #EthicalLiving #BusinessAnniversary #ClimateRealityProject
