Who has the job that gets undone, sometimes within minutes but at least every day? Yes it is your cleaners. So my question to you - is how would you fair if every morning you turned up and the previous days work was completely undone? I mean it could look like you did nothing the day before!!! Let's picture what a cleaners sees every day at the start of their shift: 1. The toilets can look like a child has used them. People have missed the toilet (yes, poop can be on the floor), men have either dribbled on the floor in front of the urinal or have just missed completely (yes this does happen), and hand towel and soap is just everywhere (all over the floor or spilt on the benches). Generally is just is a mess. 2. The offices, whilst not so bad, can be a mess. There is spilt coffee on desks and meeting room tables, rubbish that did not make it to the bins, staples have been left to just fall where land (can it be that hard to take the loose staple and put it the bin), fingerprints all over glass and the list goes on. 3. The lunchroom can look like no-one was ever trained to clean up after themselves or maybe it is they don't care. There is food stuff spilled on tables, dirty dishes and cups left in the sink, and worst of all, food that has exploded in the microwave (why people do not cover it belies belief). So you have to ask, why would someone be a cleaner? And to be honest it is a simple question to answer - most cleaners do it because they like the job. Yes, there are some, like students that do it to make a living on the way to something better, however I can honestly say that most of our team are what we call "CAREER cleaners", one that do it day in, day out and like the job. Oh, and our students we employ, do want to deliver the best service they can - it is just not a career job. And whilst they do their best to deliver the best standard they can, it does not take away from the fact that the job they do gets undone, every day, day in and day out. And to top this off: They can get ignored - yes, some people either do not see them or choose not to. Treated like they are just a "cleaner" - treated like they are second class. And some just don't care what mess they make, after all they think, well that is what they are paid to do. Yes, this is true, they are paid to clean, but how would you feel if your fellow workers did not care about you. As a former cleaner, that now has the privilege to have a great team that delivers cleaning to many clients day in and day out, I just ask you to keep in mind that your cleaner has one of the only jobs where they see their hard work get undone every day, but they keep turning up and making your site look like nothing has happened. And yes, my team, at In-Tec Commercial Cleaning is here to help you if you have bad cleaners. There are good, no great cleaners out there, and to be honest we think we have some of the best as part of our team. #clea...
