Improving the standard of dysphagia care with a novel neuromodulation treatment for severe post-stroke dysphagia, reducing complications, shortening hospital stay, lowering cost, and improving quality of life.
Very exciting to see another health system in the US implementing Phaygenx, this is absolutely going to revolutionize #stroke and #dysphagia care. #slp #neuromodulation #neurostimulation #neurology #neurosurgery #strokecare #speechpathology #asha #speech
Jersey Shore University Medical Center is the first hospital in the eastern United States to provide patients with a new therapy called pharyngeal electrical stimulation, or PES, which is delivered via the Phagenyx Neurostimulation System. Phagenyx helps patients with dysphagia, a common condition following stroke, to regain their swallowing function and ability to eat and drink. Great work, team! It takes a team to navigate someone’s atrial fibrillation (AFib) journey. After seeking a second opinion on treatment options, renowned sports broadcaster Mike “Greeny” Greenberg’s doctor addressed the efficacy and safety of cardiac catheter ablation. Within a month, Mike received a referral to the electrophysiology department and completed the procedure. The best part about the procedure? Mike was home day-of and began recovery journey! #AFibAwarenessMonth #GetSmartAboutAFib Learn more about cardiac catheter ablation: https://bit.ly/4ey2xeF

Oberarzt für Innere Medizin und Kardiologie at Uniklinikum Homburg, Saarland Interventional Cardiologist, Heart Failure Specialist
How we do it at Universitätsklinikum des Saarlandes under the leadership Bruno Scheller in young patients presenting with STEMI! 25y patient with closed RCA, successful wiring, after verification of our intracoronary position using OTW-balloon, a sequential PTCA have been done, SC 2.5 mm balloon -> dissection type C with good flow, plaque modification using Scoring-Ballon 3.5 mm, lumen gain, however still present dissection now Type B with good flow, thereafter final treatment with 4,0mm DCB Prevail (Medtronic), final result adequate lumen gain with remained dissection type A Coronary CT is scheduled in one month! A way to go in young patients, leaving nothing behind during PCI!
