Hello LinkedIn community! As some of you may know, I have recented rejoined the Canadian Tire family to become an Associate Dealer. I am currently in training (not cycling as much, so this should be interesting), I look forward to join a great group of peers and to support the amazing initiatives that this company undertakes. Jumpstart has always impressed me by the impact it has in communities across Canada and the support it offers for kids to have a chance to participate in sports activities. I am asking for your support as I prepare to ride in Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities' Pedal for Kids event in June. Jumpstart’s tireless efforts bring joy, inspiration, and hope to children and communities nationwide. Here's how you can help: 1. Donate: Any amount, big or small, will go a long way in helping Jumpstart provide opportunities for kids who may not otherwise have access to them. Your contribution will directly impact their lives and bring smiles to their faces. Please visit my fundraising page here: https://lnkd.in/gW8Xy3vh 2. Share the word: Even if you're unable to contribute financially at the moment, your support can still make a difference. 3. Join us: If you're interested and available, consider coming out for a ride and we can raise funds that will make a lasting impact on children's lives. I understand that times are tough, and many families are facing financial difficulties due to current economic headwinds. However, it is precisely during these times that Jumpstart's work becomes even more crucial. If you have any questions or would like more information about Jumpstart or the Pedal for Kids event, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you so much for considering my request and for your ongoing support.

The athletes aren’t the only ones who can be champions this summer! Why not hold an office get-together for the Olympic or Paralympic games and support families who need it most. Sell lollies, hotdogs or drinks, run a sporting sweepstake, or simply ask for donations during your watch party. Every little counts: 🏊 £4 could help a child get water-confident in swimming lessons 📣 £10 can go towards providing access to sports coaching ⚽ £20 can go towards a day out, making memories at a sports event 🎾 £30 could help provide a grant for a sports club membership 🚲 £50 could go towards providing a grant for a specialist trike or bike Order your fundraising pack now and be a sporting hero for families raising disabled and seriously ill children - https://lnkd.in/e8RcBkDu

🧩✨ #AutismAwareness Top 36 Golf Course Rankings: Post 24 - Course #13⛳️ 🧩 💰 DONATE - Please help us get there by donating $36 today: https://lnkd.in/e4MFcQfd To represent the 1 in 36 kids affected by Autism in the US, I will be counting down my Top 36 Golf Courses that I have ever played with a short story/memory for each. If you could please consider donating $36 (or more) to Els for Autism via the link above, I would appreciate it ❤️ Golf Course #13 - Yeamans Hall Club Is it possible to capture the beauty, history, and vibe of an entire state into a single golf course? For the state of South Carolina, I believe Yeamans Hall does just that. Sitting just 12 miles from downtown Charleston and designed by one of my favorites, Seth Raynor, in 1924, Yeamans Hall sits on land that used to be the site of a 17th century plantation owned by the Yeamans family. When the country club was founded, it was built to attract wealthy northern financial men to Charleston in the fall and winter with 200-300 house sites. Today, it continues to be a successful private club with what I imagine to be one of the toughest waiting lists to add your name to in the country. What makes Yeamans Hall my favorite in South Carolina? People have asked me when making this list what criteria I’ve used, and it really comes down to three things: 1) The feeling you have when playing it, 2) How well you can remember each hole after the round, and 3) How badly you want to tee it up again on #1 after tapping in on #18. Maybe I’m biased because I grew up in SC, but for me, I’ve never played a course which puts me in a calmer/happier mental state and one where I want to tee it up again on #1 after I’m finished than Yeamans. It’s just such a fun course to play! If you have had the pleasure of playing it, I’m curious to hear if you enjoyed it as much as me ⛳️

I will be participating in the Horse Capital Marathon in Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday, April 13th. This will be my 16th marathon and I’m issuing this one as an opportunity to raise money for a young girl from Calgary, Emily, who was born missing her right hand. I’ve know Emily for a few years, through The War Amps, Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program and she is an absolute sweetheart of a kid. A few months ago, I was speaking at Emily’s school and afterwards, she and her mom were telling me about a sports camp in Du Quoin, Illinois that Emily REALLY wants to go to. The camp is put on by NubAbility and they specialize in encouraging youth with various limb differences and amputations to get into mainstream sports. Their summer camps provide inspiration, instruction, and coaching to help get youth out of the bleachers and into sport. If you would like to help get Emily to the NubAbility Athletics sports camp this summer, the link to donate is below. If you’re unable to make a donation, please consider sharing this post to help get it in front of as many people as possible. Thank you so much, in advance, for your support and contribution. #ifican https://lnkd.in/gRfzAegj
