Our team was small and spread out across the country, and for many of us, it was our first time meeting in person. As soon as everyone arrived, it felt like we had known each other for years. The camaraderie and connection were instant and unforgettable." ✨ What is your favorite thing to do outside of work? ✨ "Anything outdoors — ideally with my pup & husband! 🎉 Celebrating 3 Years with Age UK Bath & North East Somerset! 🎉 Today marks my 3 year anniversary with Age UK Bath & North East Somerset. The time has flown by but I wanted to take some time to reflect on this milestone, share a few highlights and lessons learned along the way. 🌟 Highlights: • Impactful Projects: Over the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working on several projects that have made a real difference in our community. From our Digital Inclusion Project to the development of our Memory Groups to providing Home from Hospital support right across our Bath & North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care System but crucially working with multiple partners as part of the Community Wellbeing Hub (BANES) and seeing the myriad of positive outcomes has been incredibly rewarding. • Amazing Team: I am fortunate to be surrounded by a very talented and dedicated team. We employ over 80 people at Age UK Bath & North East Somerset and their support, creativity, and camaraderie have been and continue to be a constant source of inspiration. • Personal and Professional Growth: This role has pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined. This has been my first job as Chief Executive. I'll be honest it has been a steep learning curve. I've had to develop my leadership skills, challenge my own leadership stereotypes and expand my knowledge in multiple areas. This has been made a much more enjoyable experience with the support and guidance of my Chair and Board. 💡 Lessons Learned: 1. Embrace Change: The only constant is change. 2. Stay Curious: Continuous learning and curiosity are key. 3. Build Relationships: Strong relationships are the foundation of any successful team and community. Investing in connections with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders has been invaluable. 🚀 Looking Ahead: As I look to the future, I’m excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Celebrating my 1-year work anniversary at UrbanFox (Geodis) today! The past year has been an incredible journey, providing me with invaluable knowledge and expertise in the E-commerce and supply chain industry. Reflecting on my experience, here are four lessons I've learned so far: 1. Embracing an open-minded approach proves to be a catalyst for success. 2. Effectively handling rejections and mastering the art of resilience is key. 3. Recognizing that internal relationships are just as important as external connections. 4. Managing expectations and effective communication is key to completing a task fast. While the journey has had its share of ups and downs, the anticipation of heading to work each day remains. However, I take pride in the lean-and-mean approach we adopted to build BetterSleep and nurture our development team. As a bootstrap company, we had to be creative in maintaining cost-efficient infrastructure while fostering a highly effective dev team capable of high velocity. Our ability to quickly deliver quality with limited resources has not only impressed newcomers but also contributed to the company's growth, culminating in the acquisition by Teladoc in 2021.” **When you think back on your time with BetterSleep, what is one of your favorite moments or memories?** “Reflecting on my journey with BetterSleep, countless cherished memories flood my mind.
