It's not enough to have a good product or service... One of the mistakes business owners make is that they think having good products or services will make them sell more and at the end of the day, they wonder why they are not selling. Josh Kaufman in his book, The Personal MBA, define business as a repeatable process that creates something of value, that customers want, at a price they are willing to pay, so that it can generate enough revenue to sustain and grow as a business. So business isn't about having a product or service alone, that product must be able to serve as a thing of value to your customers. You have to recognize that business is a value exchange, you are creating value to exchange for your customers hard-earned money. So here are some tips to meet the need of your customers and deliver an unforgettable experience that will lead to repeat purchase: 1. Be clear about your purpose and vision as a business and harness this together to build a brand identity (read that again). 2. Know your ideal customers (target audience) well enough. Once you can crack that code, you have crossed the first huddle. 3. Know their pain point and challenges and see how to create product and services that will give them value. 4. Do your market research. You can do a mini market research within your cycle of influence, and on social groups, but the group must match with your audience analysis. 5. You proceed to product/service branding where you have to develop a blueprint that can confidently differentiate your product or services from others. 6. Have a budget for marketing. Marketing is getting people to know what you sell and telling them how what you sell will help them become better. After all these, then you can start closing sales from all angle.
