Wizard Tip of the Day #9: LED Module Selection In LED Wizard 8, when you have your art ready and you go into PowerFlow, the next step is to select the LED module that you want to use in your sign. We have a filtering system that helps narrow down your many module choices, with drop down lists for Module Series, Color (or white temperature), and Can Depth. If you go left to right, as in the Photoshopped graphic below (only one drop down list is visible at a time), you start with the Module Series list, then select Color, then select Can Depth. The resulting White color temp module options drop down in the final module list. In this example, I selected Qwik Mod 2, then White for Color, then 4" for Can Depth. Only the color options and supported can depth options for that module series will be available. The second graphic shows the same Module Series list, except it is scrolled down to show our cabinet-specific modules. Some of these have Single-Sided (SS) and Double-Sided (DS) options, and others are sidelight modules. You won't find as many color options with these products...but you will find a large can depth range. Here I've selected Synergy Stik HO SS, with an 8" Can Depth, and then in the drop down module list I selected 48". Note: if you select a DS product, then the Can Depth is the total depth of the sign, face to face, with the Stiks mounted in the middle. The third graphic shows if instead I wanted to filter on just Red as the Color and a shallow 2" as the Can Depth. I get nine product options in the module listing. You can use any or all of the filters. Another Tip will talk about how we go from the module section to utilizing our Density Guidelines. But for now this is how you filter and select your module.
