//Fake 24 Collection// Always had a thing for designing shoes, but the whole no-experience thing was a bummer. Then, I stumbled upon a wicked design from SWEAR, and boy, their stuff is next level! This lit a fire in me to recreate it in 3D, just to see how far I could push it. Got started with Zbrush, shaping and sculpting the basics. Retopology was a cool twist, as I mixed Polypaint with ZRemesh to get the topology and edge flow just right. And guess what? It worked like a charm. Moved on to Substance Painter to give the shoe its texture and feel. I tweaked the design a bit, throwing in an animal pattern on the sole and slapping leather on the rest of it. This whole shoe-making gig has taught me heaps, and I can't wait to whip up a design that's purely my own. But for now, enjoy this "FAKE” piece #shoe #substance #3D #digitalfashion

Artist/Designer writing about entrepreneurship. UCLA Design Alum. Follow for posts about business, design, AI, & my journey.
Last February, I created this 3ft x 3ft portrait of Marilyn Monroe entirely out of spray paint caps. I treated each spray paint cap as a "pixel," creating the initial design in Photoshop/Illustrator. One "pixel" = one spray paint cap. It took over 2,000 spray paint caps to complete. While I don't think I entirely "nailed" the process yet (I wish you could make Marilyn out a little better), art is all about trying new things / pushing your own boundaries. The first attempt at a new style is always a big series of learnings. It's all about trying, learning, and iterating, then refining. That goes for art making, as well as everything else in life! The next piece I attempt in this style, I know I'll be able to make 10x better using the learnings from this one. Although I will admit, this process was pretty painstaking, so I'm not sure when that will be 😅 The completed piece weighs over 35 pounds after 3+ gallons of clear epoxy resin was poured into the frame. #popart #artwork #graffiti

When you're modelling real-world items or products, being able to produce realistic materials from scratch is essential. PBR ("Physically Based Rendering") materials produce a final material map created from a combination of several different images or inputs. One input it a "roughness map", used to create differences in reflectivity and "shininess" in a material. The "normal map" provides faked 3D detail for small bumps, abrasions and indents in the object. Finally the "diffuse map" is the actual colour texture information. In this case for this box I am modelling, the diffuse texture is the brown cardboard colours; the text, labels and so on. Roughness maps are used to control the "shininess" of the tape, which is clearly visible in this shot. The normal map is used to provide the indent along the middle of the box. The final product comes to less than 500 polygons and yet looks photorealistic. PBR materials can be time consuming to set up, but it's worth it. #3d #photorealism #behindthescenes

🎨✨ Exploring the Intersection of Art and Technology: 3D Pen Meets Abstract Geometry! ✨🖋️ Art knows no boundaries, and today, we're diving into a fascinating fusion of traditional and modern techniques. Join me on a journey where we experiment with the innovative 3D pen and combine it with the expressive world of abstract geometric backgrounds painted with acrylics. 🔷🔴🟢 Imagine geometric shapes coming to life, leaping off the canvas with three-dimensional intricacy. With the 3D pen in hand, we're pushing the limits of creativity by adding tangible depth and texture to our artwork. 🎨 The abstract geometric backgrounds, painted meticulously with acrylics, serve as the perfect canvas for our 3D pen experimentation. Vibrant colors, bold lines, and intricate patterns blend together, creating a dynamic contrast between the two artistic realms. 🌟 This fusion allows us to explore the synergy between the digital precision of the 3D pen and the organic, free-flowing nature of acrylic paints. It's a harmonious dance of technology and tradition, where each stroke tells a story of innovation and imagination. 💡 The possibilities are endless as we experiment with abstract shapes, optical illusions, and innovative textures. With every layer and detail, our creations evolve into mesmerizing works of art that challenge perception and engage the senses. 🎉 Stay tuned for the final results of this exciting experiment! We can't wait to share our journey with you and hope it inspires your own exploration of the limitless potential that art and technology can offer. 🚀🎨 #ArtAndTechnology #3DPenArt #AbstractGeometry #AcrylicPainting #InnovationInArt #CreativeFusion

In Mari, the shoe texturing process involves creating highly detailed and realistic textures for 3D models. Import the shoe model and use Mari's advanced painting tools to apply base colors, intricate patterns, and fine details. Utilize layering techniques for depth and complexity, with the ability to paint seamlessly across UV seams. Mari's node-based system allows for non-destructive editing and efficient texture management. Employ channels for specular, diffuse, and normal maps, ensuring accurate material representation. The software's real-time feedback enables artists to achieve high-quality results, making Mari a powerful tool for crafting lifelike and visually stunning textures for shoes in the digital realm. Export the textured model for final use.

1moHi Armando, a combination of laser engraving with acid etching also offer great options, but testing or pre-testing is important. As is caution with core shrinkage and inadequate cores on shrinkage areas. Many customers therefore require a good service
