Applying clinical knowledge and a patient centered mindset to the women’s health and neonatal industries
The AAP has released an update to their policy centered around reading!!!! Recommendations to begin reading in your home as early as possible to promote “joyful” connections, positive adult/child relationships and language skills with your newborns and little ones. The below link goes on to enforce the need for reading and literary interventions being modeled in and supported by primary caregivers as an integral part of equity and development. As an insatiable reader myself, I love to see this .. although I’m thinking the fantasy fiction novels may be saved for another time(!). Reading is not only beneficial to cognitive development and learning, but it can be used as an appropriate coping mechanism and mirrored as a mental health care tool in adulthood. #readmorebooks

Becoming a child psychologist seemed like it would be a breeze—just fun, games, and finger paints all day long. But the reality? It’s a whole different level of challenging! It turns out you need the patience of a saint, the energy to keep up with toddlers on a sugar rush, and the creativity to make learning and healing engaging. It’s tough, but there’s nothing quite like the reward of seeing a child’s breakthrough moment. In the end, the joy far outweighs the challenges #ChildPsychology #MentalHealthMatters #EarlyChildhoodDevelopment #PsychologistLife #ChildDevelopment #TherapyForKids #MentalHealthAwareness #PatientCare #PsychologyProfession #MentalHealthSupport #RewardingCareer #PositiveImpact #PsychologyInAction #ChildhoodMatters #CareerInPsychology

"Empowered parents, nurtured minds” Completing the early childhood newborn parenting project educator training at Aga Khan University equips educators and caregivers with invaluable tools rooted in the components of Early Childhood Development (ECD), such as cognitive stimulation, socio-emotional support, and physical care. These components are essential for fostering healthy psychological development in children, as they contribute to building strong neural connections, emotional regulation, and secure attachment, all of which are vital for a child's overall well-being and resilience. #earlychildhoodeducation #childmentalhealth #childdevelopment #developmentalpsychology #mentalhealth #psychologytoday

The first few years of a child's life are the most important for brain development, however, as psychotherapist Dr. Karen Molano suggests in this article, parents should focus more on the day-to-day positive interactions, especially when children are upset. Ultimately, Molano argues that by nurturing emotional health, effective development will take care of itself and lead to happy, well rounded children and adults. https://lnkd.in/eEkvmgEx #earlyyears #childhood #parents #emotionalhealth #childdevelopment
