A significant part of nonprofit finance that often goes unaddressed is the ways in which the current state of a nonprofit can inform the potential for further donations. In building relationships and having close conversations with donors, nonprofit leaders are engines in community building. While in practice it feels very different from the work of managing a team, the foundation of what's being done is the same. A nonprofit is far more than its mission, rather, its goals are directly informed by its capacity for change and impact. This all emerges directly from financial storytelling; the practice of building a coherent narrative around the short and long-term goals of an organization. #NonprofitLeadership #Finance #NonprofitStroytelling #DonorRelationships
