Founder The London Butler Academy® | Client Experience Expert Serving the Hospitality Leaders, Business Owners, HNW Entrepreneurs. 5Frames Swiss Studio Explainer & 3D video animation Company
Behind those large doors, You will find here, the departments of a Private Household where the housemanager has an overview. In the culinary department which you find on top, food production is done by the Chef, the others if the HM happens to be a Butler also , they are hands on those area. Each of theses departments needs a specialist skills and the HM should be proficient in making decision as to who will suit where. The fine balance is deciding on the people to integrate into the culture of that particular household. This is more important than the skills and knowledge. A prospective employee could have excellent skillset and knowledge but could find it challenging to integrate. Usually HMs or Butlers have the ability to see through this and handle them appropriately. #privateservicecareers #hospitalitytraining #butlercareers #householdmanagercareers #butlercoach #joufulliving

FIFO CHEF I Head of Business Development | Hospitality Professional | Higher Education Leader | Strategic Visionary
Becoming a chef in the culinary industry is both a challenging and rewarding journey that requires dedication, passion, and resilience. As someone who has navigated through this path, I've come to understand the key elements that contribute to success in this dynamic field. The journey to becoming a chef typically starts with a strong foundation in culinary education and training. Whether through formal culinary school programs or hands-on apprenticeships, mastering the basics of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen management is essential. However, true expertise in the culinary arts is developed through years of practical experience in professional kitchens. This journey often involves starting at the bottom, working long hours, and facing intense pressure to deliver consistently high-quality dishes under tight deadlines. Along the way, chefs encounter various challenges, from managing kitchen staff and inventory to adapting to ever-changing culinary trends and customer preferences. To overcome these challenges, resilience and adaptability are crucial. The ability to stay calm under pressure, problem-solve creatively, and continuously learn and evolve is what sets successful chefs apart. Building a strong support network within the industry can also be invaluable. Mentors, colleagues, and fellow chefs can provide guidance, inspiration, and a sense of camaraderie during challenging times. As chefs, we must also prioritize self-care and well-being to sustain ourselves in this demanding profession. Balancing work and personal life, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and finding outlets for creativity and relaxation are essential for long-term success and fulfillment. Despite the challenges, being a chef offers endless opportunities for creativity, innovation, and personal growth. It's a profession that allows us to express our passion for food, connect with others through shared culinary experiences, and make a lasting impact on people's lives. To my fellow chefs and aspiring culinary professionals, I encourage you to embrace the journey, stay true to your passion, and never stop pushing the boundaries of your culinary craft. Together, we can continue to elevate the art of cooking and inspire others through our dedication to the culinary arts. #ChefLife #CulinaryJourney #PassionForFood #Resilience #CulinaryArts #ProfessionalGrowth #linkedin #australia #chef #hospitality #hotels #restaurant

Founder and CEO of Hartley Health | Holistic meal prep solutions, dedicated to supporting longevity, mental clarity & convenient health for busy individuals
I spent the first 6 years of my cheffing career in some of the best restaurants globally, with 2 years under a 3-hatted Michelin star chef at the 10th best restaurant worldwide. Here are some key takeaways from my experience: - High-end restaurants prioritise wholefoods, emphasising authenticity over elaborate transformations. - Chefs, including myself, are known for their dedication and hard work, often being the most committed individuals in the room. - In the culinary world, efficiency is crucial; treat cheffing like a dance by anticipating and preparing for your next steps. - Taking ownership of your mistakes is vital for personal growth and learning from those around you. - Working 80 hours a week is normal, it may not be advised, however we love the hustle. Oh and we are a little bit crazy 🤪 #ChefLife #CulinaryWorld #RestaurantIndustry #ProfessionalGrowth

Is there a misconception in the minds of persons not in the hospitality industry? Contrary to some belief, waiting tables is demanding and requires one to be highly skilled. The role of food & beverage service providers can be easily underestimated. Providing service in a restaurant could possibly become mentally challenging and physically exhausting. I am pleased to share my knowledge with NTA's F&B cohort #23 learners. These training sessions extended beyond dining room setup checklist. I firmly believe that servers should be equipped with competencies and personal traits that demonstrates professionalism. Listed are some key skills to a career in food and beverage service. Engaging personality Product knowledge Attention to detail Organizational skills Good Communication Skills Salesmanship Problem-solving ability Patience Professional attire With application of these qualities among others, the only thing better than the food would be the service. #NTATrainded #Bigticket #Collaboration #Youngprofessionals #Transformational
