A weekend project - custom object detection model. Even with a tiny dataset and limited processing power (my 6-year-old laptop), YOLOv8 is able to identify corrosion. This technology can be easily built in-house to identify other defects like cracks, dents, and color variations, offering valuable applications in various industries for automatic quality control and inspection.
