#indoorenvironment #airquality #CO2 #dust #gassensor How to balance indoor air quality and comfort in winter Managing your living environment in winter, especially when it comes to maintaining indoor air quality and comfort, is often a challenge. Although opening windows for ventilation can bring in fresh air, it will also bring in dust and cold air from the outside; while closing windows can keep the room warm, but it may lead to stuffy, dry air and increased CO2 concentration. So, how do we find the balance between staying warm and maintaining good indoor air quality? First, using dust sensors can help us monitor particle levels indoors. When windows are opened and outside dust and pollutants drift in, these sensors can provide real-time data to help us understand changes in indoor air quality. This information can be used as a basis for decisions about when to close windows, thereby reducing the entry of outside pollutants. Secondly, CO2 sensors play a key role in indoor air quality management. Closing windows for long periods of time can lead to an increase in indoor CO2 concentration, especially when multiple people share a space. High CO2 concentrations not only affect air quality but can also cause headaches, fatigue and distraction. By monitoring CO2 levels, we can decide more scientifically when to ventilate to keep indoor air fresh and healthy. In addition, it is equally important to arrange ventilation time reasonably. Opening windows for short periods of time when the weather is warmer and the air quality is better can effectively reduce the inflow of cold air and refresh the indoor air. In addition, using an air purifier can further reduce indoor dust and particulate matter, while a humidifier can help regulate indoor humidity to alleviate dryness issues. While keeping your home warm, there are a few things we can do to reduce heat loss. For example, using thick curtains or special window insulation film, and adding sealing strips to door and window gaps are all effective measures to keep warm. In general, by flexibly using dust sensors and CO2 sensors, reasonably arranging ventilation time, and taking appropriate indoor insulation measures, we can achieve the best balance between indoor air quality and comfort in winter. This is not only good for our health, but also improves our living experience at home. https://lnkd.in/gSrTYCM5

Recently, during a visit, What caught my attention is that how the set temperature of the air conditioning plays a crucial role. Is setting the AC to 18°C really providing the comfort we seek, or could we achieve the same comfort at 25°C? It’s important to note that the temperature displayed on the AC is the return air temperature—the temperature of the air returning to the AC, not the air being delivered. To cool a room efficiently, it’s recommended to set the AC to 25°C with the fan speed at its maximum. This not only cools the room faster but also helps in reducing energy consumption. In fact, up to 20-25% savings can be achieved simply by adjusting human behavior and being mindful of how we use air conditioning. Small changes like these can make a big difference in both comfort and sustainability. #EnergyEfficiency #Sustainability #GreenLiving #SmartCooling #HVACTips #EnergySavings #EcoFriendly #ClimateChange #SustainableLiving #SmartBuildings #HomeEfficiency #ReduceCarbonFootprint
