Master Training on Brewing Excellence This topic captures the essence of the training program by emphasizing the pursuit of excellence in the brewing process. It conveys the application of Lean principles, inspired by Toyota's success, throughout the entire brewing journey — from selecting quality ingredients to delivering a top-notch product. The inclusion of "Lean Principles" signals a commitment to efficiency, waste reduction, and continuous improvement, which are key elements of the Toyota Production System. The phrase "from Grain to Glass" reinforces the comprehensive scope of the training, covering every stage of the brewing process. Are you a project manager or production manager ? Can you tell my why this position is so underpaid? You are the glue that holds everything together. You are the unseen hero at every event making executives look 👀 like Ballers. You hold space to make others shine because you get what every position is doing. You never get praise but wow 😯 when something wrong it’s on you and you step up and take responsibility because that’s just how you roll! I just don’t get why pay is so low. If any HR, Executive Leader, or project/production manager has any insights on this please post below, or DM me. I am just not understanding how this position sometimes pays less than an executive assistant or other managerial/producer roles ! Executive Assistants get low-balled too so that’s another post ! Companies need to understand who the backbone of their companies truly are. I’ve seen production managers be able to step in and produce- but I haven’t really seen a producer know how to product manage to the same degree…. well let’s just say I haven’t seen it yet ! There is always an “outlier” out there.

Can a career dispensary manager transition to managing a full scale hospitality concept that has cannabis? The reason I ask is… I’d love to hear some feedback from both sides of the conversation, and I have many a cannabis professional and hospitality professional in my network. As we are hiring now for the Cirrus Social Club General Manager position, we are receiving applications from both sides. Experienced hospitality and restaurant managers, as well as dispensary managers. To me a dispensary is a very different operation from a restaurant or hospitality concept. Simply from the personal perspective that I strongly disliked working in retail (slow, time dragging, teamwork not required for the majority) vs working in restaurants (fast paced, a lot of moving parts and teamwork) which I love. As we continue to hone in on the specific responsibilities of our future GM, it’s clear that a majority of their time and efforts will be spent on operational aspects, employee management, and assuring compliance. Of course there would be a focus on customer service, but that’s a skill required across the board for retail and hospitality. So… could a dispensary GM walk into a full service hospitality job and nail it? Can hospitality GMs adapt to the cannabis compliance aspect? If you were in my shoes, would you lean dispensary or hospitality? I’m looking for opinions and thoughts, and grateful for each one given! #cannabis #hospitality #dispensary

We continue our series introducing our great colleagues.👩💼👨💼🎉 This month meet Emese, our Quality Controller. 🧡 Name: Emese Pleva Position: Quality Controller How long have you been working for the company? - I joined the team in 2018, after finishing college. What is your main task, what are you responsible for? - I am responsible for checking the quality of the products and releasing them on the market. I take samples every hour and evaluate them, based on which I decide whether it can be released on the market. I also deal with the training of new employees, the issuing of work clothes and I ensure compliance with the protocols. If we need product samples for a presentation, baking those is also one of my tasks. Why did you choose this company? - I started working as a nutrition consultant while still in college, but I quickly realized that working alone was not for me, I needed a team. That's when I found Ambropek's job advertisement, to which I applied. What do you like about your job? - What I love about my job is that I don't see it as work. I like the daily tasks and new challenges as well. Here I found not only new colleagues, but also real friends. I recently got a notebook here that reads: "Chance made us colleagues, but laughter made us true friends." I very much agree with this. Which is your favorite Ambropek product? - I am proud of our quality, delicious and varied products. From the first moment I fell in love with our onion bloomer and our twisted bread with olives. I recommend these two to everyone who wants to try something from us.

**From Picker Packer to Distribution Centre Manager: My Journey at Chemist Warehouse** When I first joined Chemist Warehouse as a picker packer, I had no idea how transformative this journey would be. Starting at the ground level, my primary focus was to ensure that every product was picked, packed, and ready for dispatch accurately and efficiently. While the work was challenging, it laid the foundation for the skills and work ethic that would shape my career. **Climbing the Ladder: From Picker Packer to Supervisor** After gaining experience and consistently striving for excellence, I was promoted to the role of Supervisor. This transition was a significant milestone, offering me the opportunity to lead a team, streamline processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse. I learned the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and leadership—skills that would prove invaluable as I continued to grow. **Embracing Challenges and Growth: Becoming a Distribution Centre Manager** With dedication and a continuous desire to improve, I eventually advanced to my current role as Distribution Centre Manager. This position has been the most rewarding yet. Overseeing operations, managing logistics, and ensuring that every aspect of the distribution center runs smoothly is no small feat. However, the challenges have driven me to develop strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of the supply chain. **Lessons Learned and Looking Forward** Throughout this journey, several key lessons have stood out: 1. Hard Work Pays Off: Starting from an entry-level position and working my way up has shown me that dedication and perseverance are crucial for success. 2. Continuous Learning: Every role I’ve taken on has offered new learning opportunities. Embracing these has been essential to my growth. 3. Leadership Matters: Leading by example and fostering a supportive environment are critical in driving team success. 4. Adaptability: The ability to adapt to new challenges and changing environments has been crucial in navigating my career path. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had at Chemist Warehouse and for the supportive colleagues and mentors who have helped me along the way. My journey is a testament to the fact that with hard work, dedication, and a willingness to learn, you can achieve great things. To anyone starting their career journey or aiming to climb the ladder, remember that every step, no matter how small, is a step towards your goals. Keep pushing forward, and never stop believing in your potential. #CareerJourney #Leadership #Growth #Inspiration #SupplyChain #WarehouseManagement

Is your quality system not supporting your business? Let's fix that! 🤝 +25 years of corporate quality & food safety management experience, now using my knowledge and experience to help others.
Where to find your next Quality manager? 🤷🏻 It's not the first time I hear that companies can’t find a quality manager. And when a candidate presents himself, or herself, the salary 💵 is often not within the budget. Even when you are prepared to pay, another company will have the issue you had: it’s like a chair dance I’m observing 😅. ❓ Is it an option to hire a junior quality person and put an experienced quality consultant next to him/her: I wished I had such a person next to me when I started as a quality manager. Someone who can give unlimited support by email, have monthly video-calls and 2, 4 or 6 days to work with your new quality manager? 💡 I’m the living proof that you don’t need knowledge and experience in a specific process: I managed 26 contract manufacturers, from chocolate to frozen desserts, from canned sausages to olives in glass jars. I'm even helping out a feed company at the moment. 👉🏻 Quality principles are the same across categories and even industries. And when you can’t find someone outside your organisation: why not look inside your company, like an (senior) operator? The benefit is that they know the company, they know the products, they know the processes… Also here I have experience: I recruited an operator in the kitchen to become lab technician, 2 “drop-outs” from school (and one of them became Quality manager in a different company). With the necessary support, much is possible. #qualitymanager #recruitment #support
