My name is Ray 41, originally from Manchester, England but been living permanently in Australia since 2012. I’m a keen sportsman with a passion for soccer where I was very fortunate to play the game professionally for numerous clubs in England, signing for my first professional club at the age of 13. Playing soccer allowed me to play the game all over England and in a few other countries. Whilst playing I was able to take my coaching badges, which allowed me to also become a professional soccer coach. Playing soccer allowed me to play in great stadiums all over and meet some great people along the way but one person I was very privileged to have met was the Queen. A moment I will never forget. In 2010 I got injured which allowed me to come to Australia and travel this great country for 12 months. In 2012 I moved here permanently, and I continued my coaching career here in Australia where I’ve managed to coach numerous teams over here. In January 2020 my life completely changed when I tried to go for a run and my legs wouldn’t move as they felt so heavy. I know my own body and this feeling was nothing I’d witnessed before. I took myself to see my GP, who after 2 visits, referred me to a top neurologist in Melbourne who then, also after 2 visits, admitted me into St Vincents Hospital because he couldn’t find out what was wrong. Whilst in hospital for 15 days they did multiple tests everyday which then led to them diagnosing me with a condition called Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) in the bottom of both my legs. CIDP is a rare neurological disorder in which there is an inflammation of the nerve roots, peripheral nerves and destruction of the fatty protective covering (myelin sheath) over the nerves. This affects how fast the nerve signals are transmitted and leads to loss of nerve fibers. This causes weakness, paralysis and/or impairment in the motor function of the limbs. With this diagnosis I had to relearn to walk again, have physio 4 days a week and I still (4 years later) have medical treatment for 4-6 hours every 2 weeks. After 3-4 years of not being able to work or do much, I’m now able to do some part-time work. I work with an employment agency called AXIS Employment, who help and work with you to find employment suitable for you. Working closely with AXIS in finding the right job suitable for me and my experience, has led to me working for a disability company called Value Care, where I know work in Customer Service and Administration. I’m very grateful to Value Care for the opportunity to work for them and to start a new career in Disability Services where I hope I can help others by talking about my own experience that I’ve had to go through. #valuecare #satisfied

𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫, 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫 – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨 𝐅𝐨𝐫👨💼🩺👩⚖️ Many of us end up in careers that our parents envisioned for us, but is it truly what we want? Were you good at playing guitar when you were a child? Perhaps you were even in a band? Perhaps you studied medicine because your parents told you that a job as a doctor is well-paid and has potential. You finished your studies even though it was a struggle, you got your first job, you got promoted… Now you hate your job and you do not want to do this anymore, but you do not understand why. 🫸🏼Take time for yourself and avoid being busy with anything else. Whether it is a walk in the park, going to a sauna, or the gym... Reflect on what gave you energy when you were younger and what you were good at. Think about things you lost track of when you were doing them and maybe things that you could fix easily while for others it might have been a drama. Start from that. Give yourself some time and see what conclusions you come to. Will it be medicine, or will it be something else? What is it that you loved doing in the past? This could be a great starting point for your journey towards changing your career into a job that will make you happy. 💥 #dreamcareer #Ilovemyjob #changingcareer

Just do it. Words come out easy. But the reality of it... First time to be live on air. All my life I thought I can talk to anyone. But, doing it live with a lot of camera pointing at you, nervous! Everything got jumbled up. The host Najib is so good at doing his job, we had a chat for ice breaking and he helped in between. But pat at the back. Alhamdulillah all ok. Im proud of GajiNow product from Orpheus Capital MY. I hope more companies will be open to facilitate their staff with this benefit. You give your staff the sense of security. Stress free staff is the best of staff. They will do their best for you! Other way to look at it, Insurance is there to help you during emergency but, some doesnt even have money for admission. This is where GajiNow makes it complete. As we provide advance Salary before payday. Think about it. Be open. Let Orpheus sort it out for you and your employee. So many possibilities of emergency that we dont really know what our staff is facing. Be it your car suddenly broke down, among others. Dont let them turn to Ah Long. Want to know more? Lets connect. Oh most importantly, we are licensed under KPKT. We care. #AndaBuntuKamiBantu

Meet Josh, our Talent Search Associate at Dental Team Finder! A little more about Josh: How has your perspective on sales & recruitment changed since working at DTF? “Recruiting is an industry with very little intentionality when it comes to making authentic connections and relationships with both your clients and candidates. So many recruiters can cease all communication if things don’t go their way because they are so placement-driven that nothing else matters. I’ve grown to establish a genuine channel with the individuals I’m in constant contact with, and that has proven to be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences in my professional life up to this point. At the end of the day, regardless of role, it’s all about people.” What’s your favorite pastime outside of work? “I’m an avid distance runner and I’m constantly pushing myself to achieve longer miles/faster times for events I participate in. When I’m not running or hiking new places, I’m at home either reading a book or yelling at the T.V. whenever the Dodgers are playing!” Josh became a part of the Dental Team Finder team in a post-Covid world where the concept of connecting with people had been completely redefined- at Dental Team Finder, he found that he could continue fostering his passion for building client relationships remotely from anywhere across the country! #dentalteamfinder #job #talentsearchassociate #professionaldevelopment #profession #jobsearch #RESUME #contact #recruitement #recruitementexperts #careerdevelopment #teampassion #business #selfstarter #healthcare #hiring #explore #explorepage #dentalpractice #dentistry #getintouch

Reflection on career goals...🪟 During my career as a therapeutic radiographer, I learnt about the power of reflection...🌟 I used it for my goals, my interactions with patients, colleagues and managers and ended up becoming a trained supervisor of reflection for staff and students...👩🎓 Reflection is really a review of the good, bad and ugly and hones in on areas to strengthen....💪 Research shows that self reflection is related to improved self esteem and better performance. 😀 However it is easier said than done given people's workloads and time constraints.😦 So check out my carousel for some tips to self reflect and to make it a seamless part of your day.👇🏽 Regular, brief periods of reflection can lead to continous personal and professional growth, even with a busy schedule. ✅️ Give it a go.
