🤔 WTF are "Fractional Offices", and what do they mean for coworking spaces? Do you keep hearing whispers (or panels) about a new flex space product called "Fractional Offices"? There are a few reasons you may be hearing the term more and more, but one of them may be because 2000+ industry leaders got emailed a deep-dive into this undercurrent trend back in June. The deep-dive featured insights from Antonette Benting, Kane Willmott, Chris Edwards, Danielle Schindler, Jerome Chang, Jocelyn Vincent, Justin Raymond, Jon Dweck, Amina Moreau, Rafi Sands, Henry Burn alongside some of my observations. Since then the term has popped up on companies websites, in press releases, in new products, some pivots and on international/local panels. Missed that email? This is so multidimensional... Fractions of the time: half day vs full day, hourly, even day use vs night use could be interesting. or Fractions of the space: Subdivision of existing rooms. This is flexibility that can only be accommodated in the coworking environment. And with some amazing booking platforms, the opportunities are endless.
